“Great Budget Hotel in Verona”
Had an amazing location outside city center and beautiful view. Also within walking distance of train station. Not 2 expensive either.
“hotel very clean”
the staff at the hotel were very helpful, and were very fluent in english. The continental breakfast was excellent a wide varied choice. The location of the hotel hotel was about 20 minutes from centre. Convenient for train/bus station.
“modern and convenient”
Very comfortable, clean rooms, which are large by Italian standards. A great breakfast, and very helpful staff. The hotel isn't in the center of Verona, though, and it's a little bit of a walk to the center, maybe 20 minutes. Certainly possible, but not always very fun. I'd stay here again!
“Nice hotel near downtown Verona”
The hotel is nice and clean. The historic centre is a 15 minutes walk away. The breakfast buffet was nice and the plates got refilled immediately.
“Great Deal in Verona”
For the price, Hotel Porta Palio was a great choice. It was clean and well air-conditioned, the staff was very nice, the breakfast was great, and the location, while not quite in the middle of things, was only a short walk to the old city. I had a great experience and would stay here again if I were to return to Verona.
“A bit of Luxury”
This was luxury for us. It was a superb, newly fitted out room and it had a little balcony of its own. It had its own bathroom and they provided an excellent breakfast. It was a little further from the station than I would have liked but it was still walking distance so that is okay. I would recommend this to anyone. It was also walking distance to the old part of Verona which is gorgeous.
“Idea budget hotel”
The hotel was comfortable, very clean, very polite helpful staff and supplied a good breakfast, only downfall was that it was a twenty minute walk from main sights.
“Great hotel in good location”
The hotel was a clean and basic 3star hotel, it was in a good location, 20 minutes walk to the arena and restaurants at the centre of Verona. The staff are really friendly and extremely helpful with a great knowledge of Verona and the surrounding areas. This is a perfect hotel for it's cost!
“Just so-so....”
This hotel was fine if you just want an inexpensive option in Verona. We were able to walk, but it's a good 15 minutes to the historical area. That wouldn't be bad if it was a pretty walk, but it's not and was a tiny bit unnerving late at night. The room was not updated at all, the bathroom was fine but the shower was tiny (even for European standards). We did not eat here so I can't describe the breakfast - but they did offer one.
