“Great hotel”
The hotel is conveniently located for local services and transport systems. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are extremely helpful and arranged travel cards and concert tickets. We would definitely return to this hotel.
“Excellent hotel”
On arrival we were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - lots of variety and a lovely restaurant to eat in. The staff were able to offer good advise on visitor attractions. The location was ideal for visiting all the major sites in downtown Vienna - close to tram and underground stops. Would definitely go back to the Bellvue.
“Hotel Bellevue”
Comfortable and recently renovated hotel just outside the centre. 2 minute walk to the D tram which goes along the Ring to the main tourist sites (15 minutes to the Opera House). Breakfast is expensive but a couple of good cafes in the nearby square. Would certainly stay there again.
“Great value”
Top marks to the Bellevue. I got a great value deal with an Expedia special rate. Well worth the small supplement for a Superior Room - spacious, quiet, comfortable, well-appointed and spotlessly clean with the bonus of free internet access (cable, not wi-fi). Travel from the hotel is a breeze with Trams D, 5 and 33 stopping almost outside the door and U-Bahn Line 4 only 5 minutes walk away. The hotel breakfast may seem expensive to some but it costs about the same as most Vienna hotels (and UK hotels too) and is popular with guests. There are also two cafes serving breakfast within 1 minute's walk. The one next door (Pura Vida - closed on Sundays) is friendly, serves good food and their breakfast costs about 1/2 to 2/3 of the hotel's price. The owners speak good English and are happy to offer advice to tourists. Check out the menu on Pura Vida's own web site. I recommend the Vienna Card which gives 3 days unlimited travel on public transport within the city plus a range of discounts at museums, etc. The hotel stocks the card and a wide range of tourist information, although some of it is kept out of sight. If the hotel doesn't have the official Vienna streetmap, published by the Tourist Information Bureau, pick one up free from the TIC which is opposite the Opera and the Albertina.
“good especially tourist info”
good place to stay. hotel staff extremely knowledgeable about tourist sites, costs and times, even in Esterhaza, Hungary. very polite & helpful. good food at the restraunt. the only negative I have is about the restraunt. after you sit down order drinks & begin to read the menue, there is a 2.50 euro service charge per person over and above the price of the food & drinks and a tip is expected of 10%
“An excellent deal with Expedia prepaid”
This is an elegant, 19th century hotel in a fine location right on the Tram D line and fairly close to an underground (U4) station. With our Expedia prepaid deal, it was excellent value.
“We'd definitely stay here again.”
As first-time visitors to Vienna, we didn't want much from our hotel, other than a reasonably-priced, well-located point-of-departure for sight-seeing etc. As a result, we didn't eat at the Bellevue, so we can't comment on that aspect, but it ticked all the other boxes for us. The room was large, bright and very clean, with comfortable beds (I can't quite get used to the German and Austrian habit of twin beds with single duvets being pushed together to make a double bed). The only thing lacking was extra pillows, but they quickly brought us some when we asked. The hotel is a 5-minute walk away from one of the underground stations where there are excellent and frequent services to the centre of town, and it's a short walk away from the Volks Oper (we saw an excellent performance of The Merry Widow). If you want a picturesque area, full of Viennese cafes and kitsch, go elsewhere. If you want a friendly, quiet, clean, reasonably-priced hotel, you could do a lot worse.
“Friendly staff”
Rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

“Great location with some Vienna charm.”
I was impressed as soon as walking through the entrance - the lobby area and restaurant have a boutique style as the furniture and decor have an antique look. The hotel staff were quick to find an available room for us as we arrived before the standard check in time. Their overall service was excellent and they were very accomodating with storing all the luggage I was carting around before and after our stay. The hotel room was spacious and even though the furniture and style is a little dated, it was well above the standard I was expecting for booking the cheapest room. Our room had a safe, nice compact bathroom with strong shower pressure, which is always nice to come back to after being out in the cool December winter there. The beds are the standard European singles that are pushed together to make a double - and had very comfortable mattresses. The location is very central - not right in the small inner city centre of the city, but for anyone coming from a big city, you would still very much consider it the centre. It only took about half an hour to walk to right in to the pulse of the city, and the walk was worth it anyway, passing alot of historic buildings and tourist spots. There are trams very close by if you prefer to take it easy. There is a supermarket across the road and just a walk away from restaurants - we didnt try the hotel one, but it looked tempting.
