“Marriott OK. Expedia: not so good.”
Personnel were friendly and eager to help. Highly recommended.
“Quality without pretentiousness”
service was exemplary! friendly without being overly presumptious--available 24 hours and extremely responsive to requests. Room was spacious, comfortable and well-organized Housekeeping respected request for privacy, but made sure to leave clean towels even though I kept privacy request posted for entire day. Parking at no cost, and proximity to metro, is highly attractive for those desiring to reduce the downtown DC expenses. Food purchased was good quality and good cost, despite limited choices.
“A very nice stay”
For budget travelers looking for an easy on/off for the Metro this is a great location, no need to rely on the courtesy vans. For Vegetarian/Vegan travelers this is also less than 10 min. from the great Sunflower restaurant. Very easy access to I-495, especially for people coming up from or heading south on 1-95. Pretty decor and quick response from the staff. It is a busy corner tho so if you are a light sleeper or unaccustomed to noise bring something to muffle this...city people will obviously not be bothered but we live in the country so it is a change for us.
“Great Hotel at a great price”
The check in was quick. Everything was in place. The room was immaculate, bath had enough towels. The extra charge for breakfast was a bargain as we were well fed and it was delicious. Checkout was seamless.
“Best place to stay close to Washington DC”
The room was done spotlessly clean. The bedding was maticulously done with double sheeting and a light down blanket between the sheeting. The breakfast buffet was excellent the wait staff superb. The Washington DC Metro was across the street, making it so convenient to travel to all the sights of Washington DC and Arlington, VA. My next trip to Washington DC will be to the Courtyard Dunn Loring....no need to look any further!
“Excellent location!!!”
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, because it took me literally only 5 minutes to walk to the nearest metro station. The price of the hotel was very reasonable for DC as well. Next time I come to DC I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Great place to stay!”
This hotel is a great place to stay if you want to visit DC, but stay outside the city. The Metro is walking distacance from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Good - Close to Dunn Loring Metro Stop, breakfast included, extremely friendly and helpful staff, free gated parking, modern/comfortable rooms, great sitting areas in lobby. Bad - It's not downtown DC
“D.C. hotel”
As with others, this Courtyard met all of my expectations. It looked brand new inside and out, although it is five years old. I've never been disappointed in a Courtyard. Consistency is the trick. Knowing what I'll be getting keeps me coming back.
“Great DC Vacation Hotel”
Just returned from a 3-night stay at the Courtyard, and I echo the other positive reviews of this fine hotel. From the underground, secure parking (chain-gated with key-card access) to the "walk across the parking lot to the Metro" location, this Courtyard is a great choice for business or leisure. This was a family vacation for us, so the safe area was a plus. Restaurants within walking distance are sparse, but we had our vehicle, so finding quality restaurants was a simple short drive. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant. The kids loved the indoor pool, though being somewhat small it did get crowded during the evening hours. Room was splendid. The Dunn Loring/Merrifield station is second to the last on the western end of the orange line, so it normally took us about 20-30 minutes to get to downtown DC (longer on the weekends as this is when the Metro undergoes "track maintenance" and the trains share lines...causing some delays). But both the trains and the station were clean and very safe. Will definitely make this my hotel of choice anytime I am in the DC area.
