“Definitely Return”
I was pleased with my entire experience at the Ibis Wien Mariahilf - reception was friendly and welcoming; room was clean, spacious and comfortable; and it was quiet. I arrived in Vienna via train and then traveled to the airport the following morning. This hotel is in an excellent location for making these connections. It was also convenient for an array of services - restaurants, shops, subway, etc. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when traveling to or through Vienna. While it is not a high-end hotel, it easily met my requirements and it is good value.
“The best of the Ibis Bunch in Vienna”
A pretty good location, near the West Station and quite near to the centre, with a tram route and an underground railway line very near. Nonetheless, my room was quiet. The view from my room - and presumably many others - was delightful, The buffet breakfasts are varied and tasty, and the one dinner I had was good. There are also several restaurants nearby but I didn't try them. The Internet connrction was excellent, if a little pricey (14.99 Euros, I think). In my view, much better than Ibis Schoenbrunner Strasse and Ibis Messe.
“Reliable and very convenient for the Westbahnhof”
We booked a one-night stay as part of a Christmas Markets trip and were given a family room for the three of us with a double bed plus a sofa bed for our adult daughter. The room was of typical Ibis design, was clean and tidy, and had plenty of room for the three of us. We chose the hotel as it is located close to Vienna Westbahnhof (no more than 10mins walk) and we needed to catch an early morning train following our stay. It was easy to find and although on a main road our room was at the back and very quiet. Given the location it is a fair walk into the centre of the city, but this was simple to do (directly along the Mariahilfer Strasse to the Burg Ring and thence into the city centre) and at the end of a tiring afternoon/evening out we simply took the U-bahn back to the Westbahnhof for a short walk to the hotel. The staff were welcoming and although we arrived a little before the advertised check-in time they happily checked us in as a room was available. Recommended and did exactly what we wanted it to.
