“Satisfactory”

Pleasant and comfortable with quiet homely feel.The staff were very helpful. The decor was in keeping with the type of location being semi-rural.

“comfortable 24 hours”

we booked for smoking and got no smoking policy.whereas we stayed 6 weeks ago @ a Holiday Inn and got smoking with the booking. A little under staffed but were not left hanging around for long. Only could offer 1 reliable taxi firm as they had no local telephone book. Liked the refreshments at reception fruit and fruit cordials. Breakfast was delightful and many choices including kippers.

“This Hotel needs some TLC”

Staff for the most part friendly and helpful. Hotel has the air of being weary and tired. Bed OK but not pristine. Lots of minor scuffs on walls and decoration. Bathroom plugholes corroded, some damage and mould on tiles. Taps not sealing easily. Breakfast curate's eggish - good materials but mushrooms, tomato and sausage stone cold! Milk on the table was on the turn, obviously been out before.
