“Great location”
Well located hotel in downtown DC. Walkable to the White House and going in the other direction to DuPont Circle. 3 blocks to Metro!
“Delightful experience!”
The Beacon was a great experience! Great staff, fabulous food, central location (Dupont), wonderful views from rooftop bar. We had a blast! Our 8 day stay was unexpectedly rewarded w/ wine and snacks upon arrival. Price right on target. Front desk managers were very accomodating. Only complaints were the noise level in hallway and hard pillows. We compensated by turning the AC on high and traveling w/ our own pillows. That worked! Loved, loved, loved it! Will never stay anywhere else. I can't say enough except this is the greatest hotel all round. And that is saying a mouthful since I live in a state that depends on tourism!
“great hotel”
i stayed two nights at the Beacon and had great service and a comfortable room
“Ideal location to metro and heart of DC”

“Great Location”
Located in the heart of Dupont Circle. Walking distance to all the great areas around Dupont Circle.
“Can't Be Beat for the Price”
Was amazed at the quality and amenities. The price was a bargain for DC. Great restaurant in the hotel and neighborhood. If you choose to save money on meals, a complete kitchen is included in your suite. The service was complete and friendly. Will use this hotel for business or pleasure in the future. Recommend to all and I am a seasoned worldwide business traveler and use literally hundreds of hotels worldwide.
“A nice surprisely nice hotel”
In contrary to the overall 3-star rating and some average comments from others about this hotel, I found it surprisingly perfect. The room was ready when we checked in at the front desk. The door bell person promptly helped us with using the temporary parking for a short time while we settled our luggages into our room. The halllway was clean. The room was clean and comfortable. No stale, smelly air in any location. The location was perfect. Being just a walking distance to the Dupont circle, there are plenty of good restaurant wihin a few blocks. BTW, we did not have any problem finding street parking within a couple hundred feets around the hotel from Friday evening to Sun morning while we were there. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on its room rate.

“Ideal Hotel”
The Beacon was wonderful - from the room service and cleanliness to the helpfulness of the desk staff. I had only to ask for something (refrigerator in room, robes, extra towels) and within minutes they were there. Restaurant is good but pricey. Cars are stored under the hotel safely for $26 weekdays and $20 weekends. Location is perfect for downtown, shopping, and walk to Metro (don't use your car - the train is clean and inexpensive). Most main attractions were within a short walk or 2-4 stops on the Metro.
