“Top of the List!”
As someone who lived in DC and wanted to take my husband for his first trip, I knew I wanted a hotel in a great spot for our long weekend trip. Fairfield completely met my expectations and BEYOND. It was 2 blocks away from the best restaurants in DC, 2 very short blocks away from the Metro, and a short walk to the Nat'l Mall and other important sights. I felt completely safe in the hotel because to enter after 10 you must have a key and at all hours of the day you must insert your key to go up the elevator. The hotel was in excellent condition. Free breakfast and not just crummy options, there was A LOT to pick from. I was SO happy with this pick and won't consider any other hotel when traveling to DC.
“fabulous vaue + convenience”
Super impressed with our stay. Completely renovated in asian theme. Was surprised by the free daily breakfast. Self-service for most anything you would want. Oatmeal, eggs, fruit, yogurt, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, fresh baked cookies etc. plus really good coffee got us off to a great start for no extra charge. Wok-N-Roll a couple doors down is fab for sushi & chinese, and the pub downstairs was always hoppin'. Also a liquor store a few doors down. We got great service for the price. Only thing they didn't have was a fridge in the room but we didn't really need it. Good location for walking to most sights plus cabs were always handy and just a few bucks for two.
“Great hotel”
Clean room with nice decor. EXCELLENT breakfast choices/service. Short walk to metro and other places to eat. Irish Chanel is a great spot for a light night social spot. Would love to stay here again.
“Awesome Hotel with Great location!”
We checked in on a Friday for a two-night stay. The front desk staff was very welcoming and polite. The hotel is located in Chinatown; one block walk to the Verizon Center, the metro station, and to my favorite spots in DC such as the Greene Turtle, Fado, and RFD. Also, there is great Irish pub on the premises with good food and beer selection, and an ample selection of scotches. The hotel has recently been remodeled so everything was pretty new. The room was comfortable and clean. The only thing is that I am highly allergic to dust, and my allergies kicked in, but to a much lesser extent than at other hotels. Breakfast in the morning was good with many things to choose from: Waffles, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, cereal, pastries, fruit, etc. It was quite hectic on a Saturday @9am, so I would suggest you go down earlier. We had a pretty late night on the town (and in the Irish pub onsite)Saturday night and got pizza delivered @ 3:30am. The security guy at the hotel even called the order in for me! Great service! I will be booking this hotel for ALL of my stays in the city; we go at least 5x per year. Best around for the price!
“Solid Hotel in DC”
The hotel is centrally located--close to the metro and a number of good restaurant attractions. Staff was professional and attentive. Continental breakfast exceeded expectations.
“Great.”
The place was great the bed was super comfortable. Decently priced the staff were all very helpful and the room service was delicious and fast. I enjoyed my stay very much not to métier it was in a good location with a nice walk to the mall
“Great place to stay!”
Recently updated, very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Valet parking ($30 overnight, which is a bargain in DC). Right in Chinatown (plenty of great, traditional Asian restaurants). Affordable. Plus, free Wi-Fi. I've stayed in higher rated hotels on work trips that didn't have free Wi-Fi. Actually, I've stayed in higher rated hotels that weren't as nice as this place in general. Maybe not as convenient to a lot of the museums and tourist spots, but worth the money you'd save. Really, no complaints about this hotel.
“Chinatown Hotel”
Hotel is 1 block from the Metro subway station and right behind the Verison center. Lots of resturants nearby that are reasonably priced. Hotel service was great. rooms clean and comfortable. Short walk to the museums and the capital. Large selection fro breakfast but recommend you get breakfast early to avoid the crowded room. Parking is $33 extra a day not discounted even on expedia.
“Very convenient to Metro”
This hotel is basically located in Chinatown, but there are also other restaurants close by. There is also an nearby Metro station allowing easy access to the rest of DC. Our room was nicely updated and the hotel staff was very friendly.
“Excellent option in DC!”
It's a brand new hotel, very located, with large, comfortable, and complete rooms. The staff is very nice and well trainned. I highly recommed!
