“A must stay”
great stay especially for the price....awesome location and the staff very helpful I will deft stay again
“Steps to Georgetown”
Great hotel in a great location. Definitely recommend.
“Pam V from Dallas”
I had to travel to DC, while my 23 yr old hadsurgery at GWU Hospital. I checked in for 5 days so that he could recup with me around. Ester at the front desk upgraded us to an Exec suite so that we had 2 sleeping areas, and he could have some privacy. Everyone at this hotel was friendly and helpful! My older child went to GWU and I wish that I had known about this place then. You can walk to the White House and monuments from here. Great local restaurants......we liked the Thai place to left when leaving the hotel, the burger place to the right, Roti (near whole foods), and Cirque Bistro for a nicer meal! The circulator bus stops in front of the hotel. Foggy Bottom metro to the right. Ice water and hot apple cider free in the lobby. The wireless was $9.95/day/device, but given the upgrade that we were given this was not a problem. They asked how my son was feeling, everytime that I passed thru to lobby........it felt like a home away from home, and I cannot say enough good about this place........and we have stayed at many places in the district. Also, Whole foods is over by GWU Hospital (just a block away), and Trader Joes is just acrossed the St. Easy walk to Georgetown and the busy M St. I just sent the hotel and thank you note! Oh, and you know the location is good when you are near the Fairmont, the Ritz and the Four Seasons (where incidentally we stayed last time, and I liked this better)!
“Excellent services”
Good.
“Clean, comfortable, great location”
I read some not so encouraging reviews about Melrose, but they all turned out to be either outdated or just not true. We had great time at the hotel both because it is located in the middle of everything and because our room was clean, quiet and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I felt as if I was in a 4-start hotel for the 3-star price.
“Engagement Night”
Fantastic price for such a great experience. We booked this hotel for our engagement night and had a perfect meal across the street at Marcel's. Alot of nice locations and this is far close enough in DC that you feel a strong atompsher but its not overwhelming. I very much suggest the Melrose, though they could use one or two soft pillows.
“very worth it..parking hight though.”
Hotel was very nice ...lobby, bar, resturant, ...a bit expensive as far as parking goes 40.00 a night ! ..just too much, room was almost 2 warm and they said there was not climate control to cool it down...luck would have it the windows opened about 3 inches ..just enough to cool it down a bit. Staff very friendly and very clean, also very nice beds. a 8.5 out of 10 for me.
“Very nice stay at the Melrose”
We had a lovely stay and immensely appreciated that we were able to check in early (after one night in the train from Charleston, SC). The staff is most gracious. Most recommended.
“Great stay in Georgetown USA”
The staff was very accommodating and quick to respond to any needs. This hotel is also very conveniently located for anyone wishing to spend the week in DC and avoid the terrible downtown traffic. Lovely Georgetown shops right around the corner and within walking distance.
“Family weekend in DC”
My family and myself were very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
