“Very conveniently located central Wellington hotel.”

Located on Willis St in the Wellington CBD is convenience plus! We were completely satisfied with the rooms, dining room and conference facilities. The staff were competent and recommended local restaurants and things to do and see. A pleasant experience and would recommend to anyone who wants a good budget hotel with great rates for stays of 3 or more days.

“Would Recommend”

Great hotel. Very handy to all in CBD. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here every visit if I could and would recommend it to anyone. One little niggle this time - they forgot my room service one night until I reminded them 1.5 hours later and they still charged me - not a good look. This can happen anywhere I guess but I don't think they should have still charged for it.

“very good value”

nice surprise, Sunday grower market 3 blocks away. Produces are v.fresh and cheap! Buses to Central stn. close by. Coach to Auckland starts from Central stn, also Ferry to Picton with bus shuttle from Central stn.

“GOOD LOCATION BUT JUST OK”

Location of hotel was good, not far from main shopping area, transport links etc. Hotel lobby was encouraging but our room was a disappointment, very plain and basic really although it was fine for one night. There were no nice touches that make you want to stay in the room, the formica wardrobe and worktop were very dated and felt cold. It was quiety enough for a city centre hotel but we did get some traffic noise during the night and also an earthquake! - not the hotels fault of course. There was a bistro attached to the hotel which advertised internet access free if you spent over a certain amount, but this was not generally available to hotel guests and internet access was chargeable which I found annoying. Overall, ok for a night but would not choose to return.

“Good Price - Old Hotel”

We chose the hotel due to price and location. It's an easy walk to shops, restaurants and bars. The desk service was helpful, but made you feel you were interrupting something they would prefer to be doing. Parking was offered in their garage for $18, but I realized that on street parking was available free overnight and the next day due to a holiday. Saved $18 there! This hotel feels its age and offers no reason to return.
