“Cozy charm”
A charming hotel in the center of town, the Brookstown Inn is a upcycled mill building that retains its past. All the rooms are different - a nice change from the cookie cutter chains. The wireless was a bit iffy and I'd suggest you bring your own toiletries, but the price was right. I'll continue to stay there!
“historic hotel”
What a beautiful hotel. It is historic so if you want all bright and shiny new this is not your place, but the antiques were wonderful. Who can argue with wine and cheese at 6 and cookies and milk before bed at 10?
“Great place for individuals or families.”
An enjoyable stay in a refurbished old mill near Old Salem, restaurants and downtown. Extras like wine &cheese at night and breakfast not always found in new style motels.
“support the local small biz with this unique inn”
lovely historic inn located near downtown, less expensive than the big chains there. support the local environment. money well spent and plan to go again
“Great Hotel for visiting Old Salem”
This hotel is a unique experiance, a converted Cotton mill with split level rooms and a pleasant courtyard. It was chosen for it's position in relation to the living museum of Old Salem but provided us with a totally different experiance as a hotel. The visitors centre also in the same building was useful for other things to see and do in the area surrounding Winston Salem.
“Love the Brookstown”
Beautiful restoration of a historic building, great staff; be sure to try Ollie's down the block for great coffee and pastry.
“The best stay ever!”
My wife and I had the best experience of any hotel, motel, or Inn we have ever stayed in. We loved the room and the service was outstanding. We are looking forward to our next stay at Brookstown Inn.
“Brookstown Inn - quick stay”
The common rooms, such as where the evening wine is served, are wonderfully done.
“Went Well”
Good, quick stay! This is the second time we have stayed there. Big rooms!
“Super neat building; close enough to downtown life”
The location is a refurbished mill. The decor is, well, it fits the theme of the hotel. I really liked that they serve wine and cheese in the evening; then cookies and milk later at night. No bar though! But downtown bars and restaurants are a quick cab ride away.
