“Xiamen JingMin Central Hotel”

I've stayed several times in the JingMin Central hotel. Good location in the center of the island, only about 15 minutes from the Xiamen airport. A bit far if you want to be closer to the coast; maybe a 20 minute taxi ride. The main restaurant offers a fairly extensive buffet for breakfast and dinner including asian and western selections. Staff speaks reasonable english and is happy to assist with various requests including travel arrangements or advice on local points of interest. Note that they are extensively renovating the 3rd floor club, and jackhammering is heard from the lobby up several floors of the hotel from about 8am until 8pm daily. This is expected to take several months to complete.
