“A real bargain”
The front desk staff were very cheerful and helpful. The location is premium and is near to all the attractions. I did not try their breakfast so I would not know about the food. But if you walk to the near down-town market there are foods of all sorts (recommend to eat as you go from the BBQ stands in the old market)
“Citadines - Xi'an”
I had a 3-night stopover to break my trip from Australia to the UK. Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was central to most things and all major attractions were easily accessible. Reception staff spoke good english and were very friendly, welcoming, polite and helpful. I was nervous about taking a taxi as a single woman, having read some reports of women being molested or taken into the countryside and robbed. I was assured at Reception that I would be safe, then someone took me to a taxi area, selected a driver, gave him instructions where to take me and gave me a card to get back to the hotel. I was grateful to hotel staff for service which probably went beyond their job descriptions and felt very protected. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.
“Loved it!”
Great location, Great hotel at a great price :) Suited us perfectly (2 adults and a child) We had room 1009. We adults had our own seperate bedrooom and the 4 yr old slept on the sofa bed. View from the apartment was great, straight down to the drum tower. Short walk to the muslim quarter (fabbo street food!) Apartment had eveything we needed. Staff were helpful.
“Great location, very nice staff”
I stayed in Citadines Xi' An Central for 3 nights in October 2011. The hotel is centrally located and is in walking distance to Bell Tower and Muslem neighborhood. Muslem street and the Great Mosque are "Must-See" places in Xi' An and the food stands are great places to eat good food. There are free computers with internet in the lobby. They have very nice breakfast (both Chinese and Western) in a Singapourian restaurant adjacent to the hotel. I had read some negative comments about the breakfast from some of the travelers and so was skeptical. It was proven to not be true, though. The staff in Citadines are very friendly and go out of their way to help you with anything, to call a cab for you and show you how to get to places. They even let me check out 2.5 hours late. The bell boy guys are very nice and sweet. One of them even helped me packing my luggage when I was late for checking out and going to the airport. For going to Terracotta Warriors hotel arranged me a private driver named George who was an extremely nice guy. He spent the whole day taking me to 2 other places as well, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and BanPo museum. I definitely recommend him.
“Great!!!!!!”
Fantastic!!! I am not sure if I got great rates or something as this hotel was fairly cheap, but it was way better than I expected. Great location near the Bell Tower and other shops, Staff are very friendly with a reasonable level of English, and the rooms were clean and spacious with modern facilities. I guess the only down side was the breakfast contractor that is attached to their building. We ate there once and learnt straight away to never go back - even with prepaid breakfast vouchers!!!

If you want to have a place to cook a meal while traveling, this is the place. Cooking utensils and dinnerware are in the rooms. Great place. I would stay here again.
“Good value”
This is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean and well-equipped. Each room includes a ktchenette with the bare necessities for cooking or eating a meal. There are many places where you can pick up a meal in the neighborhood, then bring it back, reheat it and enjoy your meal in the comfort of your own room. The location is particularly convenient if you are interested in experiencing "old" Xi'an. It is a very short walk to the Bell and Drum Towers, and only a bit farther to the Muslim section of town. It is a bit more of a hike to the city walls and the "Forest of Steles" but still perfectly do-able. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and overall was completely pleased with my experience.
“Great hotel and great location!”
It is a modern hotel with all the amenities of a Western hotel. It is conveniently located about 100 meters away from an airport bus drop off point, so you can just wheel your luggage up the street. There are many restaurants and stores within walking distance too. The room itself is a boutique style, though very roomy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette inside hotel was an added bonus. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers or business travellers a like.
“Best ever”
Extremely happy with our stay at Citadines Xian. Stayed here with family of 5. Had 2 apartments-well equipped kitchen. Apartment-spacious, very clean and well equipped. Just around the corner from the Drum Tower. Would have no hesitation staying here and highly recommend it.
