“Such a Shame”
The facilities were great. The grounds, beautiful. The rooms were possibly the worst I have ever stayed in. Old, tired and not clean at all.
“Capricorn Resort Yeppoon - nothing much changed”
Check in didn't go well. The room is old and furniture worn. The room keys - one was cracked and by the end of our stay(1 night) so was the other one. We came back on Saturday night to water on the floor in the hallway up to the back bedroom and into the toilet. It was on the ceiling too. From the a/c we think. There was no wardrobe for clothes out with the main bed. Only wardrobe was in back bedroom. The noise from the room above was annoying. They talked from about 3am onwards to about 6am, plus stomping over floor to go to toilet or whatever. We attended a function in Anniversary House. They were not very accommodating to the group's needs. Staff kept taking water glasses off the table for some reason. We asked if we could have the room for an extra hour till midnight but they said no. Even though other areas of the hotel were still partying with Karoke till 1.30am! The next morning we had a bbq for the group and the bbq's were coin operated. The pool was quite nice. We have now noticed a $1 charge on our credit card so I do not know what this is for as we paid cash for everything. The bar out near the pool is always very busy esp in the afternoons, so be prepared to wait - prob order 2 drinks at a time.

Conference facilities were OK Room had musty/moldy smell Mattress old and uncomfortable, Mold in shower Very dated and spartan furnishings Grounds were well kept with lots of wildlife
“Not impressed”
We arrived on 31 july 2010 and book for 2nights, we have travel a lot over the years, this is not a 4 star hotel the garden are beautiful, but the room we stayed in was old and it reminded us of a army camp, the resort are far away for anything, We Had dinner 1 night ,and was also told a vine special tonight $20 they just forgot to tell us it was per person
“Excellent.”
We have spend two days in this hotel and all was perfect. Rooms are spacious, clean. Breakfast copious and the staff very expert and kind
