The good: great location, roomy, clean bathrooms, friendly and responsive staff
The bad: two sets of blood-stained duvet covers and sheets, a roach-beetle slithering in one of the twin beds, multiple issues with the appliances: broken Nespresso machine, microwave didn’t heat food, washer/dryer combo didn’t dry clothes. The maintenance person wasn’t able to figure out what was wrong, so we tried to dry our clothes in their industrial dryer, but had to leave to catch a train after about 20 minutes and left with a suitcase full of very wet clothes. We received a bottle of champagne as a benefit for our VIP status, but we would have preferred complimentary laundry soap. Instead, we had to pay €1,50 coffee creamer pod and €2,00 per Tide pod. The irony of the upcharges is that both of these machines that we used for these extras didn’t even work properly. I feel like these upcharges are basic offerings that should be offered upon request at any place that offers appliances that use the item needed. For example, soap and shampoo are standard offerings at any hotel. Why isn’t laundry soap? We’re not talking excessive here, just a reasonable amount for the duration of the stay.
