Staff was very helpful the area is very safe and quiet there is a mall close grocery store transportation it is about 20-30 minutes from Amsterdam center by car close to an hour by public transportation but public transportation is right next to the hotel there is a farmers market on Thursdays.

Great hotel - the room was nice, and included all kitchen facilities you would need. All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful. Location is good for transport links, ideal location for us as we were visiting family in the area. Would definitely recommend and will probably go back when we visit again.

Very nice but out of the way place
This place is at the end of Tram Line 5 and it will take you about 45 minutes and 1 transfer to reach the central tourist area/train station. Very nice place but there is nothing in the immediate area. 1 restaurant in the hotel and 1 fine dining asian place next door. Inside as far as cooking, there arent any conditments ie salt, pepper, cooking oil etc. Washing machine works great but no detergeant in room. Maybe the front desk has some. We brought our own so didnt have to ask. Overall this is a great place in a very quiet neighborhood. Very quiet so you will get a great nights sleep. You just need to know 2 trams needed for anywhere you want to go but at least they run every 15 minutes or so.

The good: great location, roomy, clean bathrooms, friendly and responsive staff The bad: two sets of blood-stained duvet covers and sheets, a roach-beetle slithering in one of the twin beds, multiple issues with the appliances: broken Nespresso machine, microwave didn’t heat food, washer/dryer combo didn’t dry clothes. The maintenance person wasn’t able to figure out what was wrong, so we tried to dry our clothes in their industrial dryer, but had to leave to catch a train after about 20 minutes and left with a suitcase full of very wet clothes. We received a bottle of champagne as a benefit for our VIP status, but we would have preferred complimentary laundry soap. Instead, we had to pay €1,50 coffee creamer pod and €2,00 per Tide pod. The irony of the upcharges is that both of these machines that we used for these extras didn’t even work properly. I feel like these upcharges are basic offerings that should be offered upon request at any place that offers appliances that use the item needed. For example, soap and shampoo are standard offerings at any hotel. Why isn’t laundry soap? We’re not talking excessive here, just a reasonable amount for the duration of the stay.

Property was quiet but no too far from the central station and center of Amsterdam. Food at the lucia restaurant was great. Dennis the housekeeper was so pleasant. Everyone at the front was great.

This hotel is fun. A great layout with super nice staff, we enjoyed our stay. Close to the tram and easy access to downtown, we travelled easily. Comfortable restaurant and lounge area was a bonus. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic experience at Cityden Stadshart hotel. The rooms were not only spacious but also impeccably clean, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The added convenience of having a fully equipped kitchen and a washer machine made our stay feel like a true home away from home. The variety and quality of the breakfast exceeded our expectations, and it was a great way to start the day on a positive note. The only minor hiccup we encountered was the wait time for breakfast when we needed to depart early. Waiting for more than 30 minutes for our breakfast to be served was a bit of an inconvenience. However, considering the overall experience it's a small concern that didn't overshadow the overall enjoyable stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful, building was modern, amenities were plentiful. We had a two bedroom apartment with a washer/dryer and kitchen. This was great for our family of four. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and found it very easy to get to and from airport as well as into central Amsterdam via public transportation.

The check in process was extremely embarrassing as the staff member did not show any me any respect or discretion. My credit card would not work at check-in. This is apparently not unusual in the Netherlands, not all country’s cards work. The staff member kept saying in a loud voice with other people waiting in the queue, that my card was declined because of insufficient funds. Even if this had been correct, it is not the way to treat guests.

Great location and short walk to train 5. Supermarkets near by and the restaurant in hotel was great. Only issue was the shower drain is close to glass door and water goes out onto bathroom floor. Staff is friendly and breakfast is great.

Beautiful and cosy studio. Nice quiet area, with a tram conveniently a few minutes walk from the hotel, which was ideal. That tram can take you into the city, and we used it for every journey. Hotel staff are lovely and accommodating. The interior of the whole hotel and rooms are really nicely designed. Expensive looking. The studio room was really good. Bed super comfy, nice bathroom (no amenities), TV has Netflix, amazon prime, Disney etc which was great. Kitchen was fully equipped, although we only used the microwave and fridge. Would definitely stay here again.

Impressive & very clean
The 2 bedroom was perfect. The stove took a little bit of time to understand how it worked. (Could use a one-page set of directions). Same w/ washer/dryer. The employees were all awesomely friendly and helpful w/ directions about the tram and buses. I will definitely be staying there AGAIN.

Hotel is clean in a safe and quiet area. There are residentials, commercials and a shopping mall nearby. Tram station that brings you directly to the city is only 3 mins walking distance away. My only complaint is about house keeping - housekeepers still came in to clear my garbage dispite i put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, and repeatedly told front desk that i didnt want anyone to be in my room. Other than that, i enjoyed my stay in this Cityden location.

It's an okay place to stay. The room looked a lot bigger in photos. While this is true to every hotel, the ones from this hotel were kind of misleading. There was a couch/loveseat on the photos which wasn't present in the room. It was also adverstised as studio as they've put in a teenie tiny "kitchen" on the entry way. It would have been a lot more helpful if it wasn't there. I'll give them the tidiness of the property, accesibility despite being far from the central and the friendliness of staff. Those were the positives from this place. And as an Expedia silver member, I did not receive any acknowledgment nor the benefit mentioned when I booked the room.

Super hotel, wonderful staff.
Amazing hotel. Spacious and clean. Everything you would like to expect from a quality hotel and excellent service too. A couple things could perhaps be improved though: the lighting wasn't great in the rooms; the bathroom didn't have any soap or toiletries. No big problem. Overall, great place to stay and relax.

This property was a 3 minute walk to the Tram station, which made getting around Amsterdam very easy. The reception staff was WONDERFUL.

Did not know that they only do the housekeeping once a week before going there...not sure if it's a COVID thing in Holland. Although we notified the front desk that we need take out the trash and need some towels, it did not happen until 2 days later and still, there is no supply of soaps or paper towels, etc.
