"This is a truly remarkable property steeped in history We travelled 24 hrs by plane from Sydney to experience Canfranc Estacion and its worth it Travelling up by train wasnt easy though the first part was by fast train Drive or get a taxi for the last bits The experience was on a par with the internal hotel at Machu Picchu or the Oeninsular in Hong Kong It’s a gem and when the train line through to France is completed in a year or two WE WILL BE BACK"

"Wonderful stay at this 17th century b&b. Bed so comfy, and it was a delight to stay somewhere which is so original with period furniture. Breakfast was good, i went for hot chocolate which was delicious. Only drawback for me was no hairdryer, however we would go back as a great stop travelling to and fro to Spain. Good safe parking, and a nice village."

"My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay. The Chateau is well situated for visiting the area. Arudy, the village just south is charming and has restaurants, gas stations and supermarkets. It is easy to get to great hikes and attractions. Elizabeth is quite helpful in suggesting places to go. The Chateau itself is beautiful. Our rooms were a bit eccentrically decorated, which adds to the charm. Mine had a spectacular view over the Pyrenees. I could hear owls through the open windows at night. The gardens outside appear to be undergoing renovation and I’m sure will be splendid. Both my friend and I plan to recommend the Chateau de Druon to friends. My only suggestion is that you drive slowly and watch out for the resident “Scotties”. "
