Location was excellent. The room was OK, basic reasonably clean. The guy on reception (sorry didn't get your name) was lovely. Communal area of the building were run down, could say this added to the character of the building. Room cleaned daily towels changed on request. Coffee machine in reception, none in room, but plenty of cafes close by. Breakfast is in a cafe 5 minutes walk away. This was basic and service was mixed, fine for 2 of the days not good on the last. Budapest is a beautiful city.

Hotel was in a nice quiet location close to the centre and metro station. No mention of what to do when checking out and no offer of breakfast at the cafe which is it out of the hotel. We then entered the room which was just up the stairs above the reception, this resulted in being able to here every phone call and text received by the receptionist and hear people coming up and down the stairs. The room itself was nice basic design, it had a radiator (only half of it heated up) and an A/C which heated the room very well. The bathroom was a nice design with a large shower, but no bathmat or hand towel. On further inspection we could see that the white bed sheet had stains/marks on it. I later asked for a new bedsheet and was told I would have to wait until the next day as the cleaner had gone home. So the next day we come back to the room in the same condition as we left it and still no clean sheet, we then discovered you need to hang a tag on your door requesting the room to be cleaned. The next day we hung the tag on the door before we left for the day, and again the room was still the same. Due to the reception only being open 9am-7pm we couldn’t ask for the sheet again. we were here for 4 days and the room was not cleaned and the sheet not changed. Even during the reception hours the receptionist wasn’t always there, and when checking out at 11am she was not there. We waited for 30 mins and decided to write a note and just leave, and couldn’t ask for a taxi to the airport.
