My husband and I stayed at the Mio Buenos Aires for several nights and did not have a positive experience. It is rated as a 4.5 star hotel so we were expecting a lot more from our stay. Firstly, our bedroom was in rough shape. A lot of the furniture and finishings (e.g., tv stand, chair legs, desk) were visibly chipped, some of the curtains were fraying, the shower and bathroom caulking needed to be replaced. Several glass windows of our room facing our terrace were full on cracked, floors were scuffed and the room consistently smelt very musty. Secondly, our air conditioner also wasn’t sufficiently strong enough to cool the room but fortunately, they sent maintenance in twice and chalked it up to a dirty filter. Lastly, we had troubles with room cleaning. On two occasions I had requested room cleaning to occur in a certain timeframe (when we would be out of the room for a portion of the day) but would come back only to find that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and their service was generally good.
