Fantastic location near attractions and night markets.Superb front counter and all round service. Very decent breakfast buffet with live stations. Gym is provided by the opposite parent hotel, movenpick hotel. Spacious room with in room safe. Clean and large bed.
Shower seems to be too hot or too cold. Would need hangers in the room. No laundry price list in the room.
A shout out Khun Prapon. A wonderful experience to have stayed at your property and enjoyed staying in the past. Great location. Clean hotel.
Excellent breakfast. Looking forward staying at th Star Hotel in 2022. Thank you.

Nothing big on unique. Just needs some updates on carpeting and bathroom toiletries were not supplied. Only a pack of cotton seabs and small pink shampoo. Just a place for a short night stay.
1)The rooms are quite worn down
2)No internet service during my 2nd and 3rd day of my stay.Unable to solve the problem.
3)Hotel taxi to airport very expensive and based on per person charges.
The location is near to local and reasonably upscale social and eating locations. The airport is nearby, but your rest will not be disturbed by airport traffic or the sound of jets.
The staff kind and the breakfast is delicious. I recommend adding it to your room charge before your stay as I did for convenience and absolute freshness.

The hotel room is very old and need renovation. The hand towel are worn out and have already server its use a long time. They need to be changed a long time ago. It's yellowish and unpleasant. The bath towels are due to change out too. There is no hair dryer and no slippers. Front desk staff unable to communicate in English. Provided breakfast not really good as was stated in some reviews. TV channels very limited.
Very good hotel in an excellent location.
Staff ans service were all very good.

Lovely hotel and great location. Room was clean, AC was fantastic, bathroom shower was luxurious, and the breakfast was delicious! Noodle soup and rice soup were both great starters as well as the juice options and breads.
It’s named the Star for a reason, Value & Location
As a regular visitor to Chiang Mai I’ve made my home away from home the Star Hotel. The room rate is very good 90% of the year but in peak periods they do price gouge substantially, I recommend this hotel based on a fair rate of ฿1000 or AUD$40
The location is great.
The Staff are really friendly and helpful.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Don’t bother with breakfast as it’s not worth getting out of bed for, they would be better off turning that room into something else like a gym or massage shop because it’s seriously the worst part of the hotel.
Excellent reception lots of smiles and on arrival we were up graded. Breakfast was also very good. Now we are at the Lotus, but wish we had stayed at the Star

The staff are always very friendly and helpful and great you with a cheerful Sawasdee every time they see you. The hotel is literally 100m from the night market.

Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and had our home ready for us.
The room was very spacious and clean and tidy. The aircon worked well and bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom was a little outdated but nice hot water and water pressure in the shower.
A little disappointed that it didn’t have a balcony but everything else was great.
We were very impressed with how attentive the staff were, especially the cleaning staff and breakfast staff.

Everything was great, but then on last day of our stay we asked to print our boarding passes for our flights and was told a cold no. We asked if we could pay to print and they said no. It just felt very upsetting because we’ve been to so many cheaper places on our trip that have let us print no questions asked.

Within walking distance to the Night Bazaar and food courts. 20 min. from the airport. Although the standard checkout time is 12pm, the reception staff was very accomodating when I requested for a 2pm. check out time. Will definitely book this hotel on my next trip here.

Overall a good buy, no frills but definitely a good bargain choice. Also great location in the city to get to the night market and old City moat. The staff were a bit unattentive, and mainly I think it was from poor English.

Room was large and close to Night Market and anything I needed. Staff was very good even when I pronounced Thai language wrong. They were very eager to teach me! I will stay here again when in Chaing Mai.
