This is one of the pricy one I’ve stayed in ChaiYi. It was nice and not too hard to park. We walked to the night market which is about 15 minutes. The best find from staying there was the message place next door. It was great and the price was friendly. It was very busy so we went there around 1am. It was worth it though.

Room is super modern and spacious. And location is near train station and convenient store. near to night market as well. And inhouse bar serves amazing drinks! will visit again!

Mega Hotel was a very fun and kid-friendly hotel as there was a playground with slides and a ball pit in the lobby. The room was big with an entire honeycomb playground inside with a small car for kids to drive around. The two TVs were big with nice channels and the beds were wide and comfy. The housekeeping was very nice and they arranged my kids’ soft toys nicely. However, two of the arcade machines in the lobby did not work at all. The breakfast was kid-friendly as well and had many cute food that my kids loved. They also handed out gachapon toys to the kids who ate breakfast. Breakfast could be improved, we tried America beef, pork, Hong Kong and vegetarian. Latte was diluted. The washing machine and dryer were a bit more expensive (nt50 each wash) than the ones at Tai Chung (nt30 each). Overall, Mega Hotel was great and I will definitely recommend this to parents with kids.

Very convenient location in the center of the town…just moments away from the train station We were able to walk to many places and we could also visit Alisan via the bus for a one day trip The hotel is excellent value

Superb!
Travelled half of Taiwan and this is the best hotel we have stayed! Conveniently located within 2 minutes from the TRA and around 10-15 mins walk to the famous night market, which was great for us as it gives us sufficient time to have all the food digested before we go to bed. Room was clean, amenities provided went through great thoughts. Different colours for toothbrush and bedroom slippers for easy identification. The bed and quilt was super comfortable which really gave us a good night’s sleep. Nothing negative to share about this hotel! Highly recommended!

Soundproof is terrible! I could hear water running sound as if it was in my room! I was awaken at 1am by the sound! Despite they switched my room to the one on a higher floor, it didn’t help! I guess the drainpipes were installed in the wrong places, which makes the water running sound loud and clear in every room (expect the ones on the top floor). Very bad experience!

This was such a great place! We had the big family room and we had so much space. Beds were really comfortable and we all slept wonderful. Very conveniently close to the train station. This will be the hotel we choose if we come back to Chiayi :)

Wonderful hotel and helpful staff
Due to a change of travel plans, we decided to stay on another night upon return from Alishan. Staff were very helpful to let us place our luggages with them when we headed out to Alishan. Upon our return, they kindly arranged the same room as per our previous stay. Staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with our travel enquiries patiently. They continuously served us additional bottled water at every request during our 4 days stay. Breakfast is very ordinary but the food that was served for steamboat was very fresh and reasonably priced.
