The property is contemporary in styling and well maintained, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only minor blip in service we experienced was the cocktail waitress in the main lounge who did not know what a "special coffee" was when I requested one around 9 pm. When I rephrased as "spanish" or "irish" coffee she asked if that had liquor in it, and no, they didn't have anything like that. I hope Marriott considers this as a training opportunity for their cocktail servers. Otherwise, everything was great and we will likely return.
The only reason I deducted stars for the area around the property is that I would not want to be out and about unless I was with a group of people. There are a lot of homeless people in the area, and while no one approached us when we were outside, it does feel a bit unnerving when walking outside the hotel.
