Hotel is looking very tired. Vinyl clad couch in our room was split in many places. TV show options were very poor to say the least. Having said that the room staff were very good and the bed was comfy. There is nowhere to sit in a/c comfort when you check out and are waiting to be picked up. There is no booklet explaining the hotel facilities and how to get around the local area in the room. Overall disappointing 😞

The room we had was very dirty, crumbs and hair were left everywhere on the floor and we asked them several times to come and clean and one showed the customer service wasn’t the best. We also had ants everywhere from the kitchen to the dining table.

Everything is perfect .. just that need to improve on email replies. Took quite sometime for the staff to respond till we have to talk to the manager incharge on that day. Ordered room service, food was just okay.

Staff were nice and polite. However, cleanliness needs to be improved. There were 2 times they gave dirty pillow especially when we asked for new ones due to lipstick stain and shoe prints found on the old pillows. I guess you do get what you paid for. Would advise families with young children to pay for a better hotel if affordability is a non-issue.

Another review mentioned weak Wi-Fi connectivity, but we had no problems at all and were comfortable. Good staff , service and easy access to many places. It was a nice hotel, not too expensive.

Disappointed with Mercure
We were there at noon (check in time 2.00) and the hotel was practically empty yet they refused to check us in. We’ve been staying in hotels since Jan 2023 and most hotels would check us in so long as they had rooms. Guests were jumping into swimming pool fully clothed, looked like some crummy no-star hotel. ☹️

Great location, stunning ocean views, clean and comfortable rooms. But really disappointed in how some people would think it's ok to smoke inside the hotel. We had to request the staff to get a different room after they couldn't locate whoever was smoking. The smell would carry through the vents on and off. Definitely a big inconvenience with a 1.5 year old. Staff had to be nudged a few times before they could accommodate us. Parking is free but limited, with more free parking available at the underground parking at the plaza next door.

If you are used to 4 and 5-star resorts, you can probably see the value for the price is lacking. There are competitive resorts nearby offering better value for the price. Google reviews had several negative comments, but the service has improved since then. However, senior management may not supervise the day-to-day running in the hotel and staff at times are stretched. Noon checkout had only one poor employee trying to deal with way too much on the day before we checked out. The line was way too long to be acceptable. Management should ensure their staff are not overburdened as the cleaners were rushed to do their job effectively and certainly did not do a top-class clean even though the COVID cleaning signs stated otherwise. The most significant selling point is the beach out the front with the pool and gym next to the beach. The beach location is their winning ticket but the hotel needs senior managers to be on the ground with the staff and start looking closer at the finer details that are meant for 4-star resorts.

Appalling value - staff tried their best but seriously understaffed - bathroom mat stained yellow, toilet and floors dirty when we checked in. Safe broken, towel rack broken, floor boards coming up. Quality equipment in gym but filthy - floor littered, broken sockets, broken water dispenser. Normal drinks menu given at dinner but only Tiger beer and a white wine available - no other drinks on sale in the hotel. Potentially a stunning beach but littered and uncared for with debris everywhere. Breakfast was unbelievably poor and the few items stone cold. Given the current COVID pandemic hygiene and cleanliness shocking. Cut our losses and left.

Amazing stay!
Amazing stay at the Mecure. Great location if you are going on holiday to relax, but also explore. It is a 20 minute drive to town, and has the beach on its doorstep. Breakfast is great and staff are extremely friendly and professional! Hotel does free daily trips to the night market. Would defo visit again! Thanks for an awesome stay!

Our group has 5 rooms for 5 nights together. 2 rooms didn’t replace the amenities daily. 1 room didn’t tidy up once. The key cards could not use in the lift, we should request the staff for activiation. it supposed to be actived when we got the key when check-in.

friendly staffs great location reasonably priced. Only objection which other people have mentioned is the condition of shower recess. Grouting coming off, moulds building up. Management needs to clean up the shower recess regrout or resilicon and get rid of any mould that may be behind the tiles. advert states that there's a washing machine but there isn't.

Good location. Nice view and with the beach just steps away. Nice room interior but could do with some maintenance checks as towel rack because unhinged on one side and shower gel pump was not working properly. Room service responded late to calls.Also first hotel I have checked in recently that needed copies of the booking confirmation from online vendor

Hotel is nice with great beach and nice views. Service was above average though room service took 20 minutes to respond and equipment for shower gel was not working properly and then towel rack in the room came off on one side. The tap in bathroom was loose.
