Enjoyed myself.
Nice, few minutes walk to Kaohsiung station. Few minutes walk away from Liuhe Night Market as well. Counter allows key depositing when you go out for exercise (if you're afraid you lose the room key). Stayed in 3 different accommodation in Taiwan and this is probably my favourite.

For the money this hotel is good.
Good hotel for the price. Also very close to LiHue night market. The staff is very friendly too.

Older and dirty room with not very good service
First the good: - Location was close to the rail station - Breakfast was decent but you should get there early because it disappears immediately once it comes out The bad: - the rooms are very old. The photos make them look pretty nice but, in reality, they are very old. My bed felt like it had no top layer since I could feel all of the springs underneath. It was very difficult to sleep with the springs digging into my back. - The walls and doors are very thin. You can hear everything outside of your room including people walking and talking The worst part was the attitude of the staff. When we checked in they seemed overly cheery which was alright. However, we got a call from the front desk at 2:30am asking us how many nights we were planning to stay. This is unacceptable as it's something they should already now. We were all woken up even though this could have been dealt with in the morning. The next morning we went down to talk to the reception and the same cheery person was there. When we told them that we were all woken up by the front desk at 2:30 in the morning, she still gave us the same smile and said ok. It wasn't until we said that it was unacceptable to call a guess at 2:30am that she finally apologized. All of the cheeriness just seemed like a facade as they really didn't care about the guests. Overall: It was close to the train station but I would definitely look for a different hotel. This was quite a negative experience and the staff didn't seem to care.
