Khlong Thom is quite a traditional Thai area, with restaurants serving up only Thai cuisine, with the exception of a few international selections in the resorts themselves. The majority of restaurants are lined along Phetkasem Road, the main road running through the area. There is not much nightlife here apart from a few local places and karaoke bars for drinking cheap beer and basic mixed drinks. Night owls can easily get a taxi or local bus to Krabi Town for a better selection. There are also convenience stores in the main town for getting snacks and drinks.Shopping
Khlong Thom is not a shopping destination, though there are a few local shops in the main town for picking up sundries and necessities. If you are looking for souvenirs, handicrafts, clothing and other such items, it is best to go to get a taxi or bus to Krabi Town.
