No proper walkway for pedestrians around the area and the entrance to hotel by car is a small road passing through rolls of shop houses.

Elvianna a hotel staff kindly exchanged WhatsApp text to give me advice when I was exploring activities to do before I reached there. It's situated along a small lane. The only trouble I had was getting a room facing the road, which was pretty noisy and hard for me to get rested especially for the first night. It didn't help that I needed to wake up after 4am to join a tour the following day. I took the buffet breakfast on the 2nd & 3rd morning. The first one they had few guests and food were less fresh. The 2nd day was better.

We saw this hotel since we are kid, but the hotel still look great for the room, plus lot of space too and i loved their carpet floor. They also give us some compliment fruits which is very respectful and i also very thankful and do enjoy our stay. Place is quiet as well, city view do consider very good, just exept you do not get room safe. but it is secure.

The price is worth it for a 3-star hotel, and condition and facilities expected. There was an event one night of our stay and the karaoke was really going strong. Didn't go on for too long though, but hotel should consider soundproofing the function rooms for comfort of guests.

This hotel’s location is excellent. We were in walking distance to Sunday market, waterfront, shopping. Staff was overly helpful and friendly. Comfortable beds. Hope we can return again.

A very friendly welcome. Hotel is in a good location next to attractions, waterfront and good restaurants. Would agree with some of the rooms I read that rooms are a little dated/tired, but they are big, comfotable, well equipped and clean. Breakfast was really good, so much choice and all good quality.

My last stay was over 5 years ago during which I had a few issues. This time around I noticed the improvements in terms of cleanliness, noise level (last time I was given a room facing the main road/city view; this time I got a room facing the hill) & buffet breakfast. Nevertheless, I wish the highlight a few points I hope they would care to improve: (1) One of the two pillows on the bed had a strong unpleasant smell; housekeeping probably didn't replace the pillow case. (2) One particular cake served during buffet breakfast had 2 small flies on it. (3) The room door had recurring locking issues; it seemed like you have to slam the door to enable its lock to function. I had to do it a few times when going out because anyone could just push the door from the outside to open it. I alerted the reception counter about this during check-out.

Although hotel is not brand new, overall it is well kept and spacious. Its staff has excellent attitudes, very helpful, friendly and very welcoming. It is very conveniently located and walkable to river front, Gaya Street (Friday and weekend food/night markets) and many inexpensive local food eateries. Hotel breakfasts are good. We stayed there 2 times, 5 nights first and later 2 nights after a trip to Sandakan. We enjoyed and appreciated both stays. Thanks!

Spacious room, very friendly and helpful staff, especially "Joey" and "Darren". Breakfast is fairly good in spacious and clean dining room. Our double room bathroom needs some maintenance such as the leaking faucet and damaged floor tiles. Overall it was ok. Hotel location is very convenient and walkable to many eateries.
