The room is very dirty, it is terrible. 1. Many dirts on curtains, carpets, furniture and toilet 2. Bloods on pillows 3. Tinea pellionellas on the walls near the bed and inside the toilet The only good thing is Hotel offered another room afterward. However, one of the toothbrush packs was opened without toothpaste.

This is the 2nd time we are staying in this hotel. We love the hotel as the room has a big fridge, washing machine and dining area where we could have our snacks. We were a little disappointed when we were told our room was ready for checkin around 12.40pm but we have to pay RM$100 to checkin (normal checkin at 2pm). It will be a great gesture if the hotel let us checkin earlier without charging us. We have stayed in other hotels in Penang, Malacca and Bangkok and when the rooms were ready, they let us checked in without paying an additional fee!

We had a family suite which is a 2 bedroom apartment. It was great. Location is walkable to almost everything. Buffet was just OK.

The property is a bit dated, bed sheets and towels are yellowish (suggest to bring your own if you want to stay here), and some rooms are dark (so much so that I need to call two times to request for table lamp). We booked the family suite for five of us, after checked in we realised that suite was made up of two separate rooms next to each other. The plus point is the location and price. Near to a lot of food choices.

Cockroach in pillow
Check in states 2pm but room was not ready at 215pm. Asked reception again at 230pm and was told that check in was from 2-3pm. Told them this was not acceptable as it clearly states on my booking receipt that 2pm was check in time and I expect that room is ready. Was finally assigned and given my key to an "upgraded" room after awhile. This is my second time staying at Oasia suites and check in was still disappointing. Easily accessible to surrounding malls. Rooms is spacious but needs a deep clean and maintenance. Furniture showing signs of wear and tear. Mattress too soft and springy.. did not have a good sleep every night and my back and neck aches every morning due to lousy mattress. Anyway, all was ok for next 2 days until the third day when I was rudely shocked and awaken by a cockroach on my pillow at 630am in the morning. Screamed in shock and threw the pillow off the bed to find a flying roach in the room. Had such a fright but managed to get a few bathroom slippers to get rid of the cockroach. This will be my last time staying at Oasia Suites. Cleanliness and check in needs much improvement. Stay only if you don't mind the general conditions and hygiene standards of this place.

There are people smoking in the lift and lift waiting area. The lift waiting time is longer than average waiting time. House keeping is not thoroughly cleaned and no replenishment of coffee and tea, toilet rolls and also tissues. Swimming pool is not controlled on only proper swim wear. There are guests not with swimming wear in the pool.

Oasia representing Malaysian hospitality
My dad was planning on staying here for 3 months and he did enjoy his stay. Staff were eager to accommodate any needs or attend to any maintenance problems. 2 and a half months into his stay I called him and he seemed a bit unwell. I called later that day and got no answer so I called the front desk to check on him. They found him on the floor next to his bed and immediately called an ambulance to get him the help he needed, accompanying him to the hospital and back to the hotel. Thankfully, he was alright after a short stay in the hospital. The manager Ken and the duty manager team were very helpful and accomdating for my dad until I was able to travel to Malaysia and help my dad get home safely. -Ben

The location, and layout of the rooms were to my liking. The finishes and materials are worn a bit. I liked that they included a HDMI connection to the TV so I could hook up my laptop and the internet speed was reasonable. Also the kitchen, and laundry ensuite was a nice touch. My issues are many. The elevator situation was horrible on the high floor I was. (33rd). The service elevator has been out for a while so both guests and staff are using the guest elevator, and there is only one elevator to service all these floors. Beyond that, the room service isnt 24hrs, and the breakfast is just bad. I do not recommend getting breakfast at the hotel. It was awful. They have a gourmet coffee machine but the coffee from it was undrinkable. All my issues save the elevator are probably fixable. But ai would say the 35 ringet for breakfast is money better saved. You can use a fraction of that and get better.

I would give 4 stars because the windows and the carpet were dirty, plus a big dead cockroach inside the bathroom. As a whole wonderful staff and hotel and I would visit again.
