Stay only if u want to be left alone w/o any help
Stay only if you want Zero attention and be left on your own. Wasn't expected not to have lift and no cleaning. Will be better if no cleaning and there is at least a magic clean mop so we can clean the floor on our own. Stayed for 5days 4 nights and only briefly saw the reception once during check in and once in the 2nd morning. Subsequently, nobody can be seen even if its during the official timing of 9am to 5pm as stated. Curtain was with spider eggs

This guesthouse is spacious for 3 of us, clean and very comfortable. However, the reception does not seem to be there during night time and we had quite a bit of an issue trying to check in since the phone that was supposedly there to call was not at its place. Quite confusing and it will not help non-english/non-japanese speaker either.

This is a really nice place to stay - the corridors look like a jail cell block but the rooms are terrific - lots of room, great cooking facilities, shower and toilet plus washing machine. it's a quiet spot, right next door to a large temple. Really close to Kyoto Station.

Good accommodation overall.
Good price, good size, clean and good amenities. Walking distance to the more built up shopping areas and train station. Only minor issues our unit had was all the pillows were very hard and the air conditioner didnt work very well.
