The staff at Solaris did an amazing job not only accommodating our family needs, but when my wife needed to go to the hospital, they helped arrange the appointment, a taxi to get us there, and made sure that we were aware of the cost associated with the visit. They also helped coordinate the luggage transfer from Kyoto to Tokyo for us. I highly recommend staying at Solaria if you’re visiting Kyoto.

Everything about my stay was wonderful: the staff were friendly and well informed and helped me get a taxi when I left for Kyoto Station; the breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was spacious and cheerful; the room was super clean and quiet; and the hotel was centrally-located in a great neighborhood and close to many attractions and the river. I had a great experience at the hotel, thank you for everything!!!

This hotel is so nice. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Very hospitable and helpful. The room was pleasant with a garden view. The location is also the best! Would want to stay here again when coming to Kyoto.

New, clean, room was quite spacious actually. Beds and pillows were comfortable. No backpain for me at all. One thing I didnt like was it's kind of semi self service, you have to take your amenities from front desk. They also do alternate day cleanings unless you request. Shower area is quite big. Very close to train stations. But in the immediate vicinity, lacks coffee places, convenient stores and good restaurants. But overall, very nice place to stay, would definitely recommend.

We love this hotel! We booked the garden room and it’s spacious for two people and love the bath with the garden view. It was our first time in Kyoto and this hotel made a long journey from Las Vegas the perfect relaxation moment we needed. Would definitely recommend as it’s close to shopping and plenty of restaurants.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Solaria hotel in Kyoto! Absolutely loved the location, close to the river, canal and only a short walk to gion area. Restaurants everywhere, including our favourite izakaya just a 1 min walk from the hotel. Room and beds were very comfortable. The Onsen baths in the hotel were lovely and relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel!

I do not understand why we were charged the executive suite price when we were downgraded to a triple twin room . I asked the front desk if they are different price and she said yes, but when I asked them why I was charged the same original amount that I booked the executive suite, she said that they are the same price. When I looked again on Expedia the price for the triple twin beds room ,for Jan 3, booking it was quoting $238 per night instead of the $400 plus a night that I paid for an executive suite which I did not get since the front desk downgraded us to a triple twin bed to accommodate three adults. She said the executive suite allows three people but the third person is a 6 yr old maximum which did not show in the Expedia website / the reason i booked it. We felt we were overcharged for a triple twin bed room for an executive suite room price. This bait and switch ruined my original trust in the hotel that we stayed in just before Christmas two weeks ago. If you can’t trust the hotel , it does not matter how clean or good their facilities are. It ruins it for the rest of the hotel staff team. The villapando’s

The best place to stay in Kyoto
We loved everything about our stay! We had a garden room which was beautiful and clean and right down the hall from the onsen. The hotel was in a perfect location; close to many restaurants, sites, shopping and a metro stop. We will recommend the Solaria to anyone we know going to Kyoto.
