The house is nice and the price for the 2 bedroom was reasonable. The view was nice on a hill. Wifi was good. Amenities were fine with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and more. The house was clean. The only issue we saw was that one of the walk in closets had mold on the walls so we could not use it. Also hot (or even warm) water was not available all the time. I think the boiler was too small for the number of people they had in the house. Communication was good and check in was seamless. Overall good experience and I would stay there again.

Vamos falar melhor.
Clean. Spacious. Not great communications about location, etc. Seem to forget that jet lagged people might not have much battery left either in the phone or the brain after an overseas flight making it stressful to connect when the location given isn't the actual location of the room.itherwuse really great.

The view from the apartment was stunning and it was well-located to the historic centre. But be prepared to park your car elsewhere as you cannot access the apartment (even to drop off your luggage) until 7 pm. The owner had told us that we could show our reservation to the authorities and that they would let us through to drop our luggage and then park elsewhere but they turned us away and we had to park far away. The walk up to the house is very steep and narrow with cars coming in the opposite direction. My daughter got hit by a car’s side mirror. It hit her backpack so nothing serious but it was not fun. Another member of our party has mobility issues so that was also challenging. We ended up leaving a day early. Definitely reconsider this location if you have someone with mobility issues (small children or elderly as well.)

Good morning,We regret the whole situation, however the information provided by the competent municipal bodies published on the various websites available https://cm-sintra.pt/atualidade/noticias-institucional/centro-historico-de-sintra-com-controlo-de-acesso-rodoviario, informed us that guests could enter with the booking confirmation to unload the suitcases, but unfortunately some agents of authorities in the places with lifting pin (restrictions) are not letting pass even having the booking confirmation which was the case, being your case a one-off situation.We are however very pleased that you enjoyed our apartment and that the reason for your early departure was not a problem related to your accommodation which is what is in our control.

This place is one of its kind, spacious, with a kitchen and a backyard. There’s no front desk, but the communication was clear and in time. It is close to attractions, restaurants and transportations.

Great location, cute place with kitchen. However, there were issues. We just wish the communication for check-in would have been better, so we could have planned fully before arriving in Portugal. There appears to be a gap between Expedia and the property management. When trying to workout the check-in, the property management kept referring to an email that I never received for initiating the check-in process. Despite our attempts to get information before the day (having also informed the management that we would not have cell service/wifi on the day), the code to get in was not sent until the day and we were provided 2 different codes just a couple of hours before check-in. Without the kindness of a stranger to use their hotspot, we would not have gotten the correct code. I would not suggest this as an option if you don't have a data plan while in Portugal. The free city wifi that the management suggested we use does not always work. Also there was a bright sensor light in the hall that would go off if someone moved in an adjacent room, which was disruptive to our sleep. The shower water was also either too cold or too hot (hard to get the right temperature).

Regret returning to this hotel!
While we had a lovely experience here several years ago, this time it was awful. False advertising, poor communication. Was requested to put soiled TP in bucket, rather than flush. No Wi-Fi available and mattress was two inches off of floor. No box spring. And our accommodations were labeled “superior” It was a nightmare stay of a weekend! We would have gone to another hotel, except everything was booked for the weekend.Thankfully, we still loved Sintra!

Unfortunately, when booking the apartment of his choice, the guest did not see the photos of the apartment, nor did he read the address that is indicated in the booking advertisement.What he complains about the apartment as well as the bed leaves us surprised since the photos of it are in the ad.The difficulty of communication that you complain that although we have sent email with the entry instructions as well as the address of the apartment, repeating the same by WhatsApp and by message usual procedure since we do not check-in in person that also informed in the ad, will have been insufficient for the guest since he did not see them.The wifi password is visible near the tv in the apartment room.We're sorry you didn't like it but we advise guests to check all the available information to be clear about what they are booking.

The only place closer is the palace itself
Had an awesome time in Sintra. 18a Rue St. Gil Vincente is in the heart of the Historic Center. The place was well equipped, although the spiral staircase was a bit hard to navigate. Even had a view of the palace chimneys. We would definately stay again. Sintra is the most beautiful city, and our little Casa made it very special.

Recently remodeled every thing was new and very clean. So close to everything. Shops and trails at the doorstep. Perfect place but Sintra is a very wet place and there was black mold on areas not recently remodeled (window sills and deep in the pipes). They provided covers to keep the smell from the pipes from being terrible. My daughter is very sensitive to mold and was very sick while we were there. This is not a criticism of the property. It was clear they worked very hard to have everything be very clean and new. I think this is a problem with Sintra. I personally would stay in the apartment again if I didn’t bring my mold sensitive child.

The shower door were broken, hard to open and close. The is a small kitchen which is very nice but lack of knifes, no glass, kitchen sink doen not drain

Great apartment near Sintra Palace
This me apartment was perfect for a quick stay and very close to everything in Sintra and easy to walk to all the sites or catch a ride in the town center. The communication was also very good. The only minor issue was parking but that is difficult at any location in the Sintra city center.

Little gem.
We stayed at the Casas da Biquinha in Sintra, Portugal form 12th - 17th November. This property was a great find, very central to train station, shops, bars and restaurants. It had everything you need and spotlessly clean. We were there for 5 days and they came and cleaned apartment and changed towels. Would definitely return 😃reat places on your doorstep to go and visit. Would certainly return.

The property was very outdated. Needed a lot of TLC. Very thin walls, could heard a lot of noise and plumbing from neighbours. Very clean and quite well equipped. Well located and if going by car there is a real parking problem would not stay here again.

Best stay yet!
We have been travelling for 5 weeks and this so far has been my favorite! Great location in the old city about 2 minutes from the national palace and many restaurants and the tourist center. Also close to buses and cabs and tour operators. This was a bright, beautiful apartment. Great bed and shower. Very comfy!

Good option to stay in Sintra
They have several apartments in town. Our was in a very old house which renovated inside, pretty big , clean with small garden. The stuff was extremely friendly, gave us information about the aria, most of the things were walking distance.

Excellent location in the center of Sintra but on a quiet street.Walking distance to train station and most of historical sites. Room was very clean and comfortable,staff very helpful and friendly.Maria was prompt and helped us with the description of how to get to nearby Sintra sites. Highly recommended

Great option for families
Awesome, very spacious apartment and super nice hosts. They are renting several places and are really professional offering way more than a hotel. Great for families with kids. Totally recommend this place.

Lovely apartment and city
This was our second time in Sintra. The company arranges a stay at one oft he local homes. This one was just around the Palacio Nacional de Sintra. Fantastic location, fantastic appartment with three bedrooms, a family room and kitchen. Great for our family of 4, but could fit 2 more. Highly recommend this company and homes. Sintra itself is magical!
