Mercure is located in a good location near to Sete-Rio railway station, however the area is quite quiet and the surround area at the railway station is quite dirty as compared to other areas.

It was sadly a bit far from the main city tourist area but there was a train station/metro 3 min walk away. Overall, it was safe and the rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My main issue was the pool area. I chose this hotel just for that, but the water was very cold in August. Also, the pool filters showed lots of mold and the pool lounge cushions were very grossly stained from water. I could not sit on them, even with a towel under. I would suggest wipeable vinyl or similar. Apart from that, it was in a quiet area, but away from cool patio restaurants and the Lisbon atmosphere.

Very welcoming atmosphere and receptionist very friendly. Room was bigger than expected and fresh and clean. Tea and coffee (with creamer too) a nice touch. Lovely big and fluffy bath towels as well as hand towels in bathroom and Nuxe soap etc. Beds very comfortable and enjoyed a quiet night’s sleep. Location ideal for appointment at IPO hospital and also for visiting Gulbenkian Museum. Short walking distance from railway station too. Would stay again

Very Fantastic Stay
The room was very clean, and so also the environment, Even though there were wide roads and tall buildings around, the area was very peaceful and quiet. Of course there was a big superstore (El Corte Ingles), a walking distance away. I would not mind staying in this hotel again

Hotel was fine but the decor was a bit tatty. Peeling paint, wallpaper etc. The swimming pool was closed for maintenance. If that maintenance was scheduled guests should have been notified that it would be closed when booking. One of the reasons I booked was because it was a hotel with a pool.

My first stay.
I had a lovely stay, the pool area was really nice, the breakfast after 5 days was very repetitive, it really need so variation.. The size and cleansiness of the room was good, or so I thought until I lost an earring, I had to pull out the furniture and it was so dusty and needs a through clean. The staff were friendly, although I had to call Reception due to loud noise at night twice.

Stay was alright, but I had a terrible experience in Mercure Lisboa Hotel. Terrible experience! Stayed here dated Sept15-17, 2022. On the last day of our stay, we had breakfast, and I purposely placed my umbrella as an indicator on the table, so my husband knows our table. Something I do every time we travel. Never happened in the past! Some staff took it, never asked me if it's ours to think we're still in the table eating. They took and gave it to the front desk reception. It's not that we left it, it was taken where I placed it. I did not realize that it was missing until we arrived in Sevilla. Yes, I have travelled the world with my "Fulton Aerolite" as it's the lightest umbrella ever at 86g. For sentimental reason, I wanted it back! Of course, they will not cover the mailing charges. The hotel still has my "Fulton Aerolite". So, DO NOT leave anything unattended in the breakfast room or anywhere in that hotel. They will not ask, they will just take it!!!! BEWARE!

Staff was excellent, cleanliness excellent But the mattress was as bad as it gets A hotel is in the business of sleeping and a cheap super bad mattress will spoil the experience
