Fabulous stay!
Very nice hotel, in the heart of old town! Close to shops, bars, restaurants and other amenities. Room was very comfortable, large with a fantastic view! Breakfast was amazing! Fantastic choice of dishes to choose from. The hotel doesn’t do buffet style breakfast, but if you book your room with breakfast you get a choice of two dishes from the menu plus an assortment of pastries - fantastic food and very generous portions! The hotel staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel!

The room was full of furniture so it seemed crowded. The design was out dated and carpets worn. The ventilation system runs constantly so it is a little noisy. It was a little overpriced due to the location. The staff was very very helpful kind and responsive.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is located on a walking street so the logistics were a bit complicated, but we received a lot of eager assistance. It was a great location!

Great staff, outstanding breakfast. Walkable to most everything. Our room was quiet and clean. If you’re staying with someone you might find that you wished there was more privacy in the bathroom, there’s a curtain and glass door with no fan.

A little tired and in need of a refurb, great food
Boutique hotel in the centre of Ljubjlana. The location was great as was the food at breakfast, and the service in the restaurant, and they did a nice breakfast dessert for my partner's birthday. However, I was a bit disappointed with the rooms and the standard. It feels that it is in need of an update, the towels were past their best and the bath mat had threads hanging off it. The curtain was hanging off in the room, and there was no fridge in the cupboard in our room. It was clean, but felt tired. The shower made a noise when using the main shower head which could have done with replacing, the smaller one was fine. Bathrobes in the room didn't have a cord to tie it closed. The upstairs pool is great albeit small (which was expected) but there were two towels there when we got up there, one of which was damp. The one sun lounger has seen better days. It was therefore disappointing from what we expected, but overall clean and not too expensive. With a little tlc, it could be lovely.

Hotel is located literally in the centre of town so it's massively convenient for all city attractions. Room was very clean although the hotel wi-fi strength didn't reach the room which given it was only the 2nd floor (room 26) was a disappointment given a) this is a 4 star hotel and b) its nearly a given to have in modern times. Air-con in room was good and the noise from the street was excellently blocked out by triple glazed windows (couldn't hear a thing!). Bed was great, breakfast was really good, staff overall friendly although seemed a tad bored(!) at times ... overall I would recommend this hotel.

Perfect location for weekend in the city center.
Very nice overall, great welcome and wonderful two night/three day visit. Breakfast was a highlight, can’t say enough about their crispy bacon.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the old town!
We really enjoyed this hotel! It was right in the heart of the old town, accessible to great restaurants, shopping, and tourist activities. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location
Hotel is in a fabulous location and breakfast was great. Room wasn’t great. Once side of double against window. Bathroom with see through glass and a curtain was odd. Just felt like it was trying to be trendy but the design of the room wasn’t functional. Also torn curtain. Bed was comfy though.

The location is fantastic. Staff very friendly. We had weak to no wifi which was not fixed. A/C did not work properly which was never addressed. Luckily the weather cooled off. Staff were friendly but seemed a little overwhelmed at times (goes with the times unfortunately). Coffee cups, wine glasses not cleaned up. Not a big deal but a 4 star place should do better

Very good location! The reception women were very nice and helpful. The rooms a little dated, especially the well-used purple carpet and horrible old sofa couch. Many small bars and restaurants very close. The hotel bar was small tables mainly outside, because the weather was nice, the problem with that is that most people smoked, and we don’t like to smell cigarette smoke especially while dining. We did eat one dinner inside the hotel, and the food was fine, but not great. Our best meal was at Ta Bar just a block or so away. We also had a nice dinner up at the castle (Gostilna Na Gradu 2000) and a very nice lunch at the sister restaurant in the castle at Lake Bled, with a view of the lake. Makalonca is a nice bar on the river. We loved Ljubljana and Slovenia!

An ok experience, however I guess I had wrong expectations. The rooms are small (but that's it in the very city center), Zen rooms don't have a desk for light working, the building next door looks directly into the room, hence one has to pull up curtains which obviously makes the room dark. There were only 2 wall plugs that I could find, paradoxically one on the exact opposite side of the room, making charging phones, tablets etc, a bit challenging. Beyond that the hotel has a nice vibe, stylishly decorated and I'm sure it probably comes to life more in the summer, as it has a nice lounge at the roof top. The restaurant at the ground floor is ok. There is no parking at the hotel, obviously since it's in the walking area of the Ljubljana, so if you come with a car it's another ~20€ for overnight parking, just keep that in mind.

Lovely stay
Nice hotel with a great location. Loved the roof top pool. The staff were very helpful. At breakfast we had a great selection of vegan food - grilled vegetables, fruit, granola and rice milk. The only downside is that the bathrooms are very small and next to the bed with only a blacked out glass sliding door to separate.

The Vander hotel is awesome - unbeatable location and super cute and trendy. Their restaurant has great food at reasonable prices and their outdoor seating is great especially in winter. The breakfast was delicious and they provide a free drink upon arrival. Can't recommend enough!

It is a nice design hotel. The service is excellent, the location is good the only downside is the parking lot - far from the hotel since is located in a closed area exclusive to pedestrians

Location on the river is superb for access to everything within walking distance. Roof top deck and pool was a very enjoyable area to lounge in the evening and hear music and see the lights from the city below with fantastic views of the castle on the hill behind the hotel. The Interior décor was modern. The morning continental breakfast was excellent with many options including ability to order from the kitchen. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great central old town location
Top marks for location, you are on the river right in the centre of the old town. The hotel offers a good standard of accommodation but because it is built in converted buildings the rooms are on the smaller side, then again you will be wanting to spend most of the time out in the streets enjoying the food, drink and atmosphere of the town. Be aware that you can not drive to the hotel but there are electric buggies that can pick you up from the local car parks and take you to the hotel.

This luxury boutique hotel is centrally located in the old town immediately adjacent to the river. The contemporary decor is comfortable although it will not be to everyone’s tastes. There were issues with the air-conditioning during our stay but the staff was very accommodating and there was a fan in the room. The rooftop pool is beautiful and worth a visit. The included breakfast is good. The staff on the Saturday that we stayed there were nicer than the staff on the following Sunday. Overall this is a very nice place to stay in the center of Ljubliana
