I stayed here to undertake a scientific project and the staff, Jon in particular, bent over backwards to help me. They laid everything on and went the extra ten miles to smooth my transfers and administration. Food was tasty and plentiful, staff were friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful especially if you are into diving and snorkelling. Getting to the hotel is a challenge and travelling round the island is not easy due to the condition of the roads, but if you don't need 5 star luxury and can cope with being a bit off the grid then go.

Awesome hidden away paradise spot
The lodge it self is very basic but perfect for a total get-away. Situated about 1h30 from Moheli Airport and having to take a local flight from Moroni to Moheli means its a bit difficult to get to initially, but totally worth it when you are there. The service is always friendly (like most of the Comoros) and the activities absolutely amazing. Some of the best Snorkelling I have done and I got to see a life-long dream of watch sea-turtles come ashore. The rooms are basic with no air conditioning but spacious and well situated to have beach access. The food was all freshly prepared and very good for the location. The guides the lodge used were awesome and extremely knowledgeable. If you want your own little piece of paradise this is the perfect place to go to.

Comroftable stay with friendly staff
We stayed here for 4 nites. Staff were super friendly and always there to help you for any information, arrangement and also nice chat. The beach in front of the bungalow was super clear with coral reefs. I snorkeled 10 minutes off the beach and found a huge drop-off where there were lot of big fish. Also a huge turtle was found there. The room itself was comfortable with huge bed and mosquito net above it. Highly recommend to stay with them.

Sehr schönes Hotel (Lodge) am Strand
Die angeführte Unterkunft "Laka Lodge" ist ein unbedingtes Muss für jeden der auf die Komoren reist. Der Transfer vom Flughafen zur Lodge ist bestens organisiert, die Fahrt dauert zwar fast eine Stunde, ist aber ansich schon ein Erlebniss für sich. Durch unberührten Regenwald, ab und zu findet sich ein kleines Dorf am Straßenrand. Der Empfang herzlich (Personal spricht Englisch und Französisch) mit einer frischen Kokosnuss als Erfrischung. Die Anlage selbst sehr gepflegt, geradezu paradisisch Alle Unterrkünfte liegen dierekt am Strand, und jede Menge möglichkeiten für verschiedenste Aktivitäten, wie zB.: Tauchen, Schnorcheln, geführte Wanderungen durch den Regenwald,Boottrips, etc.... Alle Aktivitäten können auch für spätentschlossene schnell organisiert werden. Essen, traditionelle Küche hervorragend!

I am sure that the lodge is one of the best place all over the world for people who loves privat vacation in a "wild" place. I know what I say (For us Comoras is 150th country).
