Check in was a joke ? If I was the person writing such an insult about how Gary checked you in On Saturday October 24 2020 , Amy Robinson should be ashamed of her self ! I would hide my identity and face ! I have quickly looked at the video . Gary was exceptionally cordial as he is with all his guest . What you might not have agreed or liked was how business was conducted out doors beside his office . Gary is a heart patient . He has met with CDC a few times prior / during the 2020 tourist season . Every ones safety is paramount to him self & guest . Gary follows the guidelines out lined by ( Center disease control ) CDC . Further more Gary refused you ice because he is not allowed to handle ice from his house to any person during this on going pandemic . His place of business is not licensed in any aspect selling / supplying any staples within food industry . What an awful hurtful way to treat some one trying to follow the guidelines & laws mandated attempting to keep you safe . If I was you I would want to stay hidden after writing hate . Edward . After carefully looking at the facts , after you checked out Kristen posted on your face book account the following below . 110% turn around from the trash you wrote on your Expedia review . You falsely claimed a successful hotel owner for 43 years never washes the sheets ? Your claim the business has video surveillance every where ? Who doesn't protect there properties from juveniles who in the owners 43 years never had any one remove a hotel blanket and two selected sheets , only to drive away with them in your rusted out black car . In the intern the Owner searched all over in disbelief he called the police . Rightfully so . But what the owner didn't see after you were gone , vacated the property , turned in your room key you got itchy feet and returned to place the items you took into a laundry hamper and took off only to be pulled over by police and questioned why . All of this while both of you failed to quarantine / wear face coverings / smoking / in totality completely disrespectful to protect all legitimate behaved guest ,for there health & well being , the two of you are not welcomed back to this facility and will be taking this issue up with other hoteliers at out winter meetings . Rachel: Sorry you felt uncomfortable . We are subjected to state and local laws The signs posted by Maine CDC out doors clearly stated all forms of smoking are prohibited . If you have a complaint take it to the State of Maine . When you booked your room with Expedia all the extra expenses were clearly printed . You decided in an attempt to sneak a extra car and a third & fourth guest with out paying . I am certain it made you feel very uncomfortable being caught ! Hotel rates are based on Double occupancy with one auto . All our parking is designated numerical , facilitating ease for all guest to park coming & going . We have children's accommodations and adult accommodations . All accommodations have a music channel with a live shot of the ocean and front entrance for every one to enjoy . We thank you for the reminder to any and all smokers not to book at Long Beach Motor Inn Non smoking means just that . No smoking permitted ! Edward .

Hello Pamela : Thank you for your review . Certainly every non smoker will be extremely pleased to know smokers like yourself will not return ! If you had taken a moment to read the polices before completing your reservation you would had NOT booked in a NON SMOKING FACILITY . Gary will take every measure to keep all his guest free of 2nd hand smoke , which encompasses all " DOORS ,VENTS , WINDOWS , & ENTRYWAYS ,A smoking work place act 22 MRSA 1580 does at the DISCRETION of any property owner to create a designated smoking area . Long Beach Motor Inn who has out door cooking facilities . Therefore smoking is PROHIBITED ! While we have your other complaints . The ceiling fan controls are on the wall . The TV has a built in channel guide . There isn't any musty smell , but Gary did inform me he had to turn on the fans and open the windows when you entered the office as you smelled like a burning cigarettes , on your body and clothes Finally what happens off and on other properties has no bearing on the operations of the Long Beach Motor Inn. Finally to all those reading rest assure strict NON SMOKING POLICIES will be enforced . So please if your a smoker go else where !

Dear Guest ; You were smelly . The bed are all knew ! The carpet is all knew ! No drinks of any sort are allowed into commercial swimming pools . Call the Sate of Maine and or the Federal government and complain . It is a FEDERAL LAW ! My job is to enforce the laws that our government governs all of us by !
