I booked a bedroom with 3 beds for my children and myself . We arrived around 5:30 pm.
When my son went to bed , he noticed there was sand on the sheets, a lot. I called the front desk and someone came and put new sheets. It was about 11 pm. About half hour later, my daughter and I opened our beds and I found a sock, which was not mine, on the bed. My daughter found a dead bug on her bed as well. We went to the front desk , in our pjs and brought the other guest’s sock snd a picture of the dead bug. The clerk came back to our room and gave us fresh sheets. It was almost midnight so we couldn’t go to another hotel. When we were having breakfast next day at 5:45 am , the manager came to me and apologized . She offered me 200 soles for the inconvenience . I told her I was not taking 200 soles . This is a very expensive hotel in the area . The night was 720 soles . She said they could give me 50 percent . I told her I was coming back in the afternoon and wanted the credit back on my card . As I was walking out, she came to me and handed me an envelope stating thanks for your understanding and 350 soles.
The whole experience was horrible . We couldn’t fall asleep thinking that the room was filted. Under the beds , there were spider webs and dust.
We chose the hotel for the convenience to the train station . We had to take a train at 6:10 am.
The experience was very unpleasant. I don’t see myself booking this hotel in the future . Terrible !
