Amazing.. We went for honeymoon and it was heaven for us.. Staffs were so friendly specially kadat.. Big Infinity pool and resort so big u dont need to go elsewhere. Private beach was super clean and they offered bycicle free.. Me and my wife joined so many activities, romantic dinner, deep sea fishing with fisherman.. Everythingwas fabulous. Later we went to Kuta but after being in Kelapa with best experienc, we didnt liked kuta much.. Thank u Kadat for your hospitality.. Cheers! Delwar and Nishat

This is the best place to stay in Bali! Customer service is hand's down the best ever around. From checking in to the restaurant to the cleaning people huge congratulations to you! Food is unbelievable. They will take care of everything you could want and want to do. It's 3 hrs from the airport so what worth it. Taking day trips to the tourist areas is easy with the driver you get. Right on the beach away from people and the surf is legit! Thank you kelapa for an amazing stay we will be back year after year now! You made customer's for life with excellence in service.

Glorious resort, wonderful staff.
The staff made this place extra special. They were so attentive to our needs and never once failed to greet us with a smile. The resort is heaven on earth, so peaceful and relaxing with a quiet beach. We were sad to leave. It's very remote, so I recommend choosing to go on one or two of the tours arranged by the resort to see the island properly. Our two trips were incredible and our drivers were both such nice people. They made sure we got an authentic experience. Highly recommended this resort to couples.

The food and staff were outstanding - friendly and willing to assist in any way. The unfortunate part of the resort is lack of facilities if you want more in the way of night life. If this is not your thing it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the amazing senery...

The property is a great place for getting away from everything. I liked the calmness and the nice staff but I didn’t like the fact that there’s nothing interesting within the close radius and that the retreat had only a kitchen and a spa, they could add some amenities since there is literally nowhere else to go

The Kelapa retreat and spa is the most incredible place I’ve ever stayed! The whole vibe was just beautiful, the staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your time and they always have a smile on their faces. Kadek was so helpful prior to us arriving, organising every thing for me via email and Ari was always there to help us with his team. The food at the restaurant is authentic and delicious, the rooms are beautiful.. I can’t wait to go back and highly recommend Kelapa

This style of resort to a very specific and minimalistic which appeals to some people. My wife loves it, me personally I found it somewhat boring, too grey concrete like and somewhat too dark. The staff however is amazing and super helpful

Very disappointed in how I was treated and the accommodations. The pictures and the description are not accurate. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to travel and for the $$ this is probably a place you should skip.

I doubt there is anything the owners and staff could do to improve the experience. We loved the location, facilities, staff and food. Make sure you allow plenty of time to get there and back. The single lane road is prone to delays and is busy. But getting there is worth it!

Excellent hotel
I would have given 5* for all categories but lost some marks because the WiFi is terrible. Connection is extremely poor and that's the only fault. The staff are all excellent, polite, always smiling and happy to see you.

The staff and the view were faultless. However, our shower had the most disgusting smell everytime the door was opened (villa 5) in which we complained to reception- then sent people down whom only sprayed. Hours later it was back in which we let housekeeping know, nothing was done to fix the problem. Luckily we knew the person next to us in the villa and used their shower which is disappointing. The food isn’t much to be honest- quite tasteless.

We loved this hotel, although feels like more of a private retreat. It's the perfect place to do nothing for as long as you need. The hardest parts of the day were making it to yoga on time then deciding what to eat for breakfast! Highly recommended. Look forward to coming back and visiting the new restaurant / bar. Special mention to Henry in the restaurant, he is a very friendly and happy person who always made us smile.

Very quiet place without crowed tourist. If you want to taste local life, go for it. Just bear in mind it is far from most tourist spots so any tour will take at least one day.

Nice relaxing retreat close to the beach
It is a bit isolated but if you are after a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of the city then Kelapa is the ideal location. The only thing annoying was because of the isolation food options were a bit restricted to eating in the restaurant. The breakfast variety was lovely and free so that wasn't an issue. However one had to pay for anything else they wanted to eat or drink during the day and the prices were a bit high, especially when the 21% surcharge was added to the published prices. I did want to go to Medewi to sample some of the restaurants there but was informed by staff that getting a taxi was impossible..or maybe I misunderstood. In any case I had a relaxing time at the retreat and would gladly visit again.

The perfect hideaway
The property, the staff, and the rooms are amazing. If you come to Bali to relax and step outside of the tourist trap that traveling can be. There is no better place to stay. You won’t be close to the shops, the signs in English, or the trappings of home. You will however get closer to whomever you come with, even if it’s just on your own and you will leave grateful that you booked here.

Kelapa is an amazing place
We hade a wonderful time at Kelapa. Great service and really nice accommodation with private pool and beach view. The food was good and the staff was beyond friendly. We recommend Kelapa to everyone. Beautiful place. The only minus was that the doors are not sealed so a wide variety of small creatures came in to our room, but the staff was quickly at our rescue and well equipped.

Gorgeous villa on the beach
The Bali experience began at the airport, we were greeted by a private driver and taken to the beautiful West Bali to the retreat. The staff are all very lovely and friendly and willing to help with anything. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and clean. There was also a gorgeous outdoor shower and bath in the courtyard. The best part about this retreat is how quiet it is. Everyone keeps to themselves, there is yoga available twice a day, a spa to book facials or massages, the restaurant has great food and you're on the beach so all you can hear is the calming noise of the waves crashing in the background. Great for relaxing and distressing - we stayed for a week and cannot wait to come back again. There is also the opportunity to go on day trips. We did lots of sightseeing, shopping and spent a day out snorkelling on a boat. Just keep in mind they are DAY trips - you will be out all day and sometimes it might take 5 hours to get back to the retreat as Bali traffic can be very congested. However the 5 hr trip home only occured once, the average time to get back to the retreat was about 2.5 - 3 hours. Although it is worth it to see and explore Bali and it's also nice to see all the rice farms and countryside as you drive as well.

Outstanding spa and resort!
Kelapa Resort is everything you could wish for if you are looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation on Bali. The villas are of very high standard with complete privacy. What we cannot praise enough however is the outstanding spa. We tried several spas around the island and none even came close to the standard provided at Kelapa. Can highly recommend Kelapa to anyone who wants to experience tranquility and true Balinese luxury!

Awesome place for getaway
The hotel premise is well kept and the beach is awesome!! It’s quiet and the black sandy beach is lovely, sparkling under sunlight. The staffs are very friendly and thoughtful. They will go all the way to bring a smile on our face. The only thing is the food have much room for improvement, however I heard they have another restaurant coming up, hopefully the food quality will improve. I will definitely go back soon.

It's heaven on earth.
Wonderful ocean/pool villas! We spent our honeymoon there and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The Spa is wonderfu- superb quality. We went there everyday of our stay. The ocean was secluded and perfect. The restaurant's variety of food and drinks was excellent. Our hotel driver, Putu, was the best. All of the staff were friendly, professional and just absolutely wonderful.

Quiet hotel with fantastic beach and pool.
The Kelapa Retreat is like its name suggests is a quiet, highly unusual hotel in a very secluded spot. It is perfect for couples who just wish to relax for a while undisturbed, whilst enjoying good food and service. Owing to its location and away from bars, nightclubs etc., it would not suit everybody, but this is precisely its charm. A great place for reflection and rebalancing a hectic life style. Overall a very positive experience.

Awesome resort
Amazing staff!! Everything was very nice and relaxing. Staff went above and beyond to help us with transportation and even book a stay on another part of the island. Rooms were clean with great AC. Favorite place in Bali
This hotel was incredible in every way. Staff is beyond helpful, polite and sweet. Design is modern, very cool. Amazing beach, pool, food. Very quiet area, nothing to do except for hanging at completely empty beaches or surfing at Medewei, which is incredible. Favorite place we stayed on our trip.

Serenity in Bali
Our 2nd time staying Kelapa. Very isolated (no shops nearby) but so peaceful & wonderfully private. Excellent swimming in pool or beach (black sand) & dining is a relaxed pleasure. We hope this won't be our last visit!

Wonderful retreat hotel
Great retreat hotel and we had a wonderful relaxing stay here. Positives: staff service, room size, hotel pool, beach, great bodyboarding, food quality, cleanliness, very peaceful Some "even better if" would be wifi is limited to two devices, foo/beverage prices are a touch high, no complimentary lotion in the bathrooms. All very minor. Would certainly recommend and visit again.

Beautiful and Quiet Beach
Great location away from many tourists. The beach was beautiful, quiet and just right for swimming and walking along the beach. The spacious and quiet room was exceptional with views of the beach. Restaurant staff and food was great.
