Great hotel for family vacation
Great hotel in quiet location. We started in the Family Room (w/ bunk beds) and its was a great room for our family of 4 (kids 9 & 12) Fantastic staff. Good breakfast options and specialist restaurants had good menus. A-la-carte food in the All Day Dining restaurant was not good.

We where is supposed to have a higher floor with an ocean view, but it looked more like a tree view. The bathroom smelled like sewer and although we complained and they came in to try to correct the problem whatever they did did not work.

Check in process is unnecessarily too long, there’s no reason to have to spend 10-15 minutes talking to the reservation receptionist when hotel is already paid in advance. Breakfast chefs do not understand how to cook eggs — everything is well done. After waiting 15-20, I went back to the eggs counter to remind them about my order and where I was sitting. I ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs came hard boiled. Also, don’t sit on the lower eating level outside, otherwise, be peppered to clean your own table let the empty plates sit on the table for a while.

There’s really not much to do around the hotel. Around the hotel there seems to be construction going on. In our room we couldn’t enjoy opening our windows as you saw pipes out of the ground and just not a nice view. Since there isn’t much to do around the hotel you have to take a cab everywhere. It can start adding up with cab rides. Just to get to the store you have to spend 400 tbh If you want to just lounge around and not go anywhere the hotel pool is nice. But other than that nothing to do.

Hyatt Regency needs to do better.
We had 3 rooms, and each room had certain problems. For one, the hot tubs weren't working properly and we had to call the engineers multiple times. The same room, the a/c had problems so another set of engineers came multiple times. The second room wasn't cleaned well at all. There were hair and pieces of tissues left before check-in and on the second day of "make up my room". Somehow our third room was better (though less expensive than the other two rooms). However, all rooms had poor quality of clarity on their TV and the internet on it wasn't working at all. Our devices wouldn't connect despite the engineers bringing the casting cable. All of this was in 3 rooms over 2 days!

Fast & smooth check-in. Staff are friendly and service is good. Great seaview can be seen from room balcony. Clean room and good amenities provided. The only thing to improve is the pillows which is too flat. Overall we enjoy our stay and will be happy to return again in future.

Unpleasant smell in the room, pillows and blankets that are not dry, some visible dust around pillows, mosquitos everywhere, virtually zero soundproofing for walls / door / balcony, dead bugs lying around, broken interior wall in corner areas, hairdryer that can't be used in the bathroom due to broken power plug, inconvenient to walk around, etc. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in for the last two decades, and I think the hotel needs a lot of work.

Arrived at 5pm, but no room and wait unitl 6pm to get the room. Booked 3 rooms, unfortunately, the air-conditioner of all rooms was not working properly. One of them are not cooling, and the staff cannot fix so just send a fan to me for the first night and changed to another room. Another 2 rooms the air-conditioner is extremely noisy and cannot sleep well in night. Overall, the hotel is far away from the Hyatt Regency standard.

This property is old From the lobby to our room was old. Walls was dirty Mold in the shower Nothing like the picture show on Expedia website. Gross. Looks more like a motel then a 5 stars resorts. We paid $2700 for 4 nights. disappointing!!! Under staff. Buffet was like a riot Manager was rude. I just can’t believe this is the Hyatt!!!

Situated at Kamala beach which is a very quiet area. The rooms are housed in small individual buildings built into the hillside. Rooms are very spacious & clean. Staff are very friendly. Very great place to chill and relax

Excellent 5 night stay
Excellent hotel with great service and facilities. Had a 2 bed room with the 2nd room designed for kids and it was painted with underwater scenes which they loved. Kids club was fantastic and both kids spent hours each day doing activities or just hanging out. Pool area was clean, kids would have liked a slide into the pool. Breakfast buffet was very good. Gym while clean with modern equipment was fairly small with limited weights, only good for cardio.

Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Especially the Spa was great! I had a room with balcony and view over the ocean, which was perfect for when inside. Housekeeping could pay ore attention to detail e.g. here was a mosquito coil but no matches and on the 2nd day the Mosquito mat was not replenished. Overall nice stay.

I booked the family room and it was rather small and only had a bathroom. There wasn't a door to separate the master bedroom from the common bedroom. The bathroom didn't come with a lock. Hence, my helper felt very insured when using the toilet. The toilet was so tiny. I am 5 feet tall and my legs were almost touching the wall when I use the toilet. It felt like a toilet in Hong Kong and not Phuket. I complained and the hotel was kind enough to change it to 2- King bed rooms. That's why I gave it a 2 stars. Else, it will be a one star. The housekeeping team was very forgetful. They either forgot to top up the tissue, towel or water. I had to call for top up everyday. The room also had a musty smell. Despite telling the hotel, the musty smell didn't go away. The room was old. Maintenance hadn't been done properly. While I was using the shower head, there was water trickling from the rain shower. It was a very unpleasant feeling. Breakfast was good. But top up was slow. However, the breakfast time was rather late at 7 am. It is inconvenient for guests going for day tours or rushing to the airport. Front-desk was good. May was very friendly. However, it seems like the front desk was very short handed. I was attracted to the kids club when I booked the hotel. However, I felt very disappointed when I was there. The kids club was very small and had 2 TVs in the kids club. Most of the children ended up watching TV. It should be called KIDS TV CLUB.
