Beautiful authentic Thai resort in luxury. Island peaceful away from tourists. Rooms very nice and very cold AC. Views are amazing. Was in hotel 3. Dont stay here if you have mobility issues. Lots of stairs and in and out truck type transportation with high step up and steep hills and down to beach. You will not be right on beach. Different restatrants same menu. Service is good but not amazing in restaurants.. some of the workers act less eager to please. Typical of large resorts. Spa was great.. there are things to do... prices more expensive because where you at. Mopeds.were fun.. hard to get back to phuket..and expensive because of private pier tp ao po grand marina. This is 5 star place. Would do again

We absolutely loved our stay at Santhiya. It surpassed our expectations! The service was excellent all around -- from the shuttles to the spa to the restaurants. We also loved all the extra detail that went into things like decor, live music and fun activities around the resort. It felt like a once in a lifetime experience and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for incredible service and Thai hospitality.

This was a beautiful spot for us to spend the week. The resort itself was amazing and had lot of activities to do. However, the island didn’t have much else to offer. Just a couple of local shops.

I had been staying in Phuket before my stay at the Santhiya so I took a taxi to the Marina and had arranged to take the speedboat as required. However, I was not given any information on where to meet the speedboat or if I was supposed to check in with any hotel staff somewhere. I was able to find the speedboat thanks to helpful people around the marina, but the staff at the boat kept asking me if I had checked in. They were not able to tell me where, and after some walkie-talkie and telephone discussions by staff, someone was able to find my name on their list and I was able to board the boat. I do not know if the Sanythiya has a procedure for checking in guests who have not taken the airport shuttle, or if I missed a desk/office at the Marina which belonged to the Santhiya but no one was able to direct me elsewhere. Keep in mind that Check-In at the Santhiya is 3pm, and if you arrive before that time your room will likely not be available yet! The hotel staff take your luggage when you arrive off the speedboat so while I enjoyed an hour or so at a restaurant getting lunch and waiting for my room, I would have enjoyed my time more if I had grabbed my swimsuit first. I wish the Santhiya had encouraged me to book a later speedboat so I would arrive when my room was ready. The facilities are fabulous and the buffet breakfast was always a very welcome sight. I can't rave about things more than everyone else already has so just trust me that you will have a fabulous time here.

This is a hidden gem! Excellent service from the moment I arrived to the moment we left! They made it truly a wonderful vacation. Only thing I would let people know that there are a lot of kids around the resort. It didn’t bother us personally, but if that is something you are not looking for would not recommend. Really enjoyed personally!

Before I begin, I want it to be clear that the staff and workers of the resort were extremely kind and nice. But that place was the worst part of my trip in Thailand, least, absolute least favorite part. Very beautiful though. There was something magical about the view from the infinity pool. I could have stared at the horizon for hours. The Muay Thai classes were a lot of fun. But we were very grateful to leave that resort. We just really thought it was overpriced food and ridiculous the boat ride to and from the port was not included. Think the resort should provide at least one ride there and one ride back for free. I did like that I was able to use WhatsApp and contact the hotel people whenever though. I had a mosquito issue in my room and whatsapped them and with in 5 minutes some dude sprayed our room. And there was a really cool monkey who may have stolen a bottle of Fanta (I’m assuming he wasn’t the original owner). But we only saw him one time. If I had seen him more I would have given more stars. More monkeys please and establish a 7eleven in the resort. Or a free shuttle to the village where they have a 7eleven.

We enjoyed the rooms with balcony and bay views. The pools and beach were refreshing and convenient. Food service excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. We enjoyed excursion to nearby elephant sanctuary and private speed boat island hopping and snorkling for our family.

Wir hatten eine Seaview Suite als Familie mit einem Kind(4 Jahre) gebucht, Villa 1137. Das war nun das letzte Santhiya der Kette das wir nicht besucht hatten. Alle andere schon einige Male, und was soll ich sagen? Eine wirkliche Begrüßung gab es nicht. Normalerweise bekommt man einen kalten Tee und kalte Tücher und wird zu Tisch gebeten. Hier wird man nach den Pässen und der Kreditkarte gefragt. Nach über 3h Stunden warten wurden wir dann gegen 16 Uhr auf unsere Suite gebracht. Beim Betreten fehlte der typische Santhiya Geruch, stadtdessen hat es muffig gerochen. Die Klimaanlage wurde seit einer langen Zeit nicht gereinigt und auch nur einer der beiden funktionierte. Die im Schlafzimmer kühlte nicht mehr. Es hat unglaubliche 2 Tage gedauert bis das Problem gehoben wurde, wir wurden teilweise bis in die Nacht im Zimmer gestört. Man muss sich Mal überlegen das die über $500 die Nacht verlangen ;D. Alle anderen gemeldeten Probleme wurde rasch behoben. Für uns war es, durch die Probleme und Störungen, absolut nicht erholsam und wir haben viel Zelt außerhalb des Resorts verbracht. Da es keine vernünftige Lösung für eine teilweise Erstattung oder eine angemessene Wiedergutmachung gab würde ich nicht nochmal hier herkommen. Die Anlage ist wirklich schön und die Angestellte sehr sehr nett und Kinderlieb doch es gibt ein paar Stellen die sehr kinderunfreundlich sind wie fehlende oder total kaputte Absturzsicherungen. Gerade in unsere Suite muss man extrem aufpassen das der kleine n

Santhiya resort on Koh Yao Yai island is a one of a kind experience. I accidentally booked a non-refundable stay here thinking it was on Phi Phi island (where I originally wanted to go) and despite the difficulty in getting there…I was extremely impressed with the overall experience. I have to applaud the staff and management at this resort. You can tell a lot of through went into creating an unforgettable experience. From transportation services around the hotel to the efficient buffet, every little detail has been thought out. In addition to efficiency, the staff are so kind and attentive. The resort also feels safe. In regards to the atmosphere- Santhiya is incredibly relaxing. That being said, if you’re looking for “night out vibes” you won’t find that on the resort but you can walk down the beach for places that offer drinks and music. Santhiya is a place for family and couples. They have free 30min kayak and paddle board rentals, offer Muay Thai and Yoga classes and have two incredible massage facilities. You won’t be bored at any point in your stay. My partner and I booked the pool suite and the views and room was incredible. One note, the villa we booked did not have sun during the day, so if you’re looking to sunbathe from your room just double check that detail. My favorite part of the resort was the food. Hands down the most delicious Thai food I’ve tried and they even crushed then international dishes There’s a few restaurants you can dine in. Overall incredibl

We could not be more dissatisfied with this experience from top to bottom. We misunderstood the airport travel and the accommodations were far from that. If your flight is earlier than 10am you’ll never be able to get off the island in time and the resort won’t work with you one bit. You’ll be lucky to get a paid boat ride a day early and still miss out on everything you paid for the rooms. Service was pretty bad for a 5 star resort and there’s zero night life at all. So this place can be great if that’s what you’re looking for but we unfortunately were not and the hundreds of dollars we lost going to a different resort was well worth not ruining our honeymoon.

Amazing resort, absolutely stunning. I have traveled a lot and stayed at many places all over the world. This place is at the top of the list. Stunning wood work all over the hotel. I would suggest getting the room with ocean view since it’s better located and if you chose the bay view the view is not as good because of the constant swing of the tides. We had a deluxe room with Seaview and it was absolutely stunning. Highly highly suggest! Infinity pool was very nice, and breakfast buffet offered a lot and great choices with a beautiful ocean view. Many places to relax and just enjoy the beauty of the resort.
