Within walking distance of the beach and several parks. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was a little dusty and there is no elevator, so be careful about that if you decide to stay.

Staff were good for check in, obviously this is a pub and hence staff can be busy in the bar, but all went well. No lift so carry bags as it is a heritage type hotel. Room was good, modern and nice bathroom esp the shower. There was a Nespresso coffee but bizarrely there was no coffee pods, no cups, no milk, no teaspoons - nothing. There is a nice cafe across the road however. The location was great, we were flying in to catch a cruise vessel so perfect for that, the park is across the road and the waterfront 500m walk - I went for a run, perfect!

Had an overnight stay and happy with the standard and quality of the accomodation. Well priced and the standard of the room etc. matched the price for the stay. Good food options close by for dinner etc. obviously the pub is down stairs and had a restaurant if you wanted to have a few drinks or dinner/lunch it’s available.

We absolutely loved our stay here and were so surprised by its charm and old world heritage. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Great food and they have Guinness!!

This view is within the context of this being an old building. Room was pleasantly airconditioned and quiet (woke next morning to find a thin layer of white dust on phone? Passed this dust issue onto a staff person in the bar (reception was closed at 9:30 am) who didn't appear that interested. My partner and I didn't experience any ill effects from this though lost some skin off a leg on sharp corner of wooden bed frame jutting in walking area. Nice towels and they have dressing gowns (if u ask for them - nice). Went for dinner around 6 pm - didn't have the only pie dish on the menu. Staff doing the best with what they've got we thought. Would stay again - central location: in main street of Middle Park - handy to tram.

Good morning, thank you for taking the time to leave a review, as we do value your feedback. We are a very small Hotel in a suburban location and do not have 24 hour Reception. Reception is open from 9am-5pm daily.Rooms are cleaned of dust before our incoming guests arrive, however, this building is 130 years old, located on a busy main road, which does result in dust entering consistently. Lian was extremely helpful in organising our after hours check-in (calling me and then emailing me details which made it very simple). It's great to walk out in the morning and wander to cafes in either direction. We stayed on a Saturday night but it wasn't noisy. Rooms are very comfortable.

Beautiful old hotel with nice restaurants and cafes around. Friendly staff. Loved the open fire in our room. A bit grubby though, hopefully they can sort it out.

I found it hard to get a contact to call prior to arriving for an important queastion about secure parking . No discredit to the overall experience of the stay as it was exellent . But l had to leave a very expensive motorcycle on the street overnight which was a concern . Had l been able to talk to someone prior to arrival l could have made better arrangements to secure my motorcycle . Apart from that all good . Great service , clean room, and top quality food .

Position was excellent. Room was like a prison cell. Pictures on the web site did not truly represent the property. The glass window was painted to prevent any view to the outside world. On one night of our 3 night stay we were subjected to a strong sewerage stench outside and inside the room. Sad as we would like to return to the area….

Accommodation was adequate, room had coffee, TV and a/c. Decor of establishment was tired and there was external noise from piped music till midnight. Reception unmanned until mid morning
