From the moment we landed in Punta Cana, things were wonderful. The Taxico Company was right there waiting for us to take us to Dreams Onyx, just the 2 of us. Upon arrival, the concierge took our luggage and brought us to check in. Becausewe booked with expedia, we received a complimentary upgrade to preferred status which came with our own butler for the week. He helped us with reservations, any issues with the room, stocking of the minibar in the room and any think else requiring help, fixing or booking. Our butler, Javier, went above and beyound expectations. We loved the minibar guy because once he knew your preferences, he restocked with just those items. The restaurants were all friendly, the food was pretty good. My body decided there was way too much sodium in the food and my legs were so swollen. Lets hope it goes away soon. I would definitely do an all invlusive here again. Only complaint is that the casinos were small and not very much fun.

This resort is absolutely gorgeous and very family friendly with a waterpark. Very clean, all the staff is very attentive! My concierge (Javier) always went above and beyond to make sure everything we wanted and needed was taken care of! Our form of communication was through texts and which was very convenient and he always responded quickly! As far as the food there are a lot of options, however, keep in mind it is the same thing everyday! But you can drop off the kids at the kids club and go over to Breathless and eat there, which we found to be better! All of the restaurants were really good! The resort is not too big so getting around was not bad. If you are walking far and you see a golf cart, you can ask for a ride and they were always happy to help. We didnt have any extra charges besides what we did at the spa. And “tipping”! Please make sure to take cash to tip! They appreciate it and will take great care of you! My daughter got seaweed rash and there is a Doctor on site and she is amazing! Kids club is more for little little kids, but my 7 year old enjoyed it. My 10 year old was a little bored. Due to the rash my daughter got we had to stay away from the ocean and the resort went above to upgrade us to a walk out pool room. Very accommodating and highly recommend!

Loved Dreams Onyx! We stayed in building 5 and were close to everything. We loved the lazy river and the jacuzzi in the preferred pool area for cloudy days. The staff was nothing short of amazing and so helpful. We never waited long for drinks or dining. The food was great - our favorite was Spice. Our concierge, Javier, was amazing - he was so helpful with everything and went out of his way to make our stay great. He found out we were on our honeymoon and had chocolate covered strawberries and roses sent to our room. We will be coming back for sure!

The Steakhouse was awesome! However, I didn’t care for the food at the buffet, Capers, or the Hibachi restaurant. A lot of tables in the restaurants are very wobbly.The water would not get hot in the hot tub in our room. Bathroom shower drainage needs to be fixed. Our safe wasn’t working when we got there. Loved the pools & beach. Need signs around the resort to help with direction.
