Queen Street Mall

Queen Street Mall showing shopping, a city and street scenes
Visit Brisbane's premier shopping destination, where modern shops & boutiques are set behind 19th & 20th century building facades.

With over 1,000 stores across four diverse shopping districts, offering an incredible array of retail and entertainment options, it is easy to see why Queen Street Mall attracts over 26 million visitors every year. Wander through the alleyways and back streets and discover cafés and bars filled with the city’s trendy crowd. Catch some street performers, magicians, dance troupes and musicians with their scheduled performances on the special stage near George Street.

Set against the stunning backdrop of preserved heritage-listed building facades, you will find a vast array of national and international design houses as well as retail chains and upmarket boutiques.

The Myer Centre, located in the heart of Brisbane's city business district, is spread across 6 floors and offers a huge choice of retail and entertainment options including fashion, beauty, homeware and electrical goods conveniently located under one roof. If you would like a more upmarket retail experience, then a visit to Queens Plaza is a must.

Wintergarden has something for everyone with fashion and beauty stores, to a multitude of food courts and even a gymnasium and ten pin bowling to keep you entertained.

With Edwardian Baroque style buildings, a trip to Brisbane Arcade is highly recommended. Here at one of Brisbane's most stunning retail destinations, you will find a multitude of unique designer and local boutiques. Indulge in some afternoon tea and cake upstairs in the elegant French-inspired Room with Roses. If you would like to try out a range of international cuisines instead, why not walk over to the nearby Broadway on the Mall.

Calling all hipsters! Burnett Lane is unmistakably cool with fabulous coffee shops, gourmet restaurants and stylish cocktail bars. Situated parallel to the mall, this district is definitely one to check out.

The Queen Street Mall is right in the centre of Brisbane, spanning the area between Edward Street and George Street. The Visitor Information Centre staff are always happy to let you know what’s going on in the area and city. The majority of shops are open late Fridays and some of the more upmarket boutiques close on a Sunday.
