"Hôtel Melia was truly an unexpected pleasure for what we thought would be a standard airport hotel for the night before we flew back after two weeks away. Free van service offered to and from the airport, sincerely warm hospitality during check-in, a spacious, lovely and very quiet room (with a powerful rainfall shower head) were already above par. Add to that an awesome and very clean spa/sauna open till 10 PM to insure the perfect night’s sleep and an elegant buffet breakfast (including specialty Lisbon pastries like pastel de nata) and, well, perfection 600 feet from the terminal. 4 thumbs up! "

"It was not far from the shopping and sight-seeing areas. A walk from the hotel to the main plaza near the water was about 25 minutes. "

"excellent stay. very welcoming staff.rooms nice and clean of good size for 2. very comfy bed. good facilities. wifi very good and straightforward . Close to airport but still need a taxi. only thing is that there are no sites to walk to in walking distance. Restaurant basic with not a big menu but functional and very good if you are hungry .Very reasonably priced. i would noy hesitate to stay there again."
