On the last full day of my stay a construction worker working on the hotel entered my room THROUGH THE 2nd FLOOR BALCONY, walked across the room and exited to the hallway. The extent of his explanation was that he’s “working over there”. I let the front desk know. Got a call back and the manager who apologized, stated that was unacceptable, and offered to make it up to me with a free dinner or “something from the bar”.
The following morning at about 8:30 am as I was preparing to leave, the SAME construction worker, ignored the DO NOT DISTURB sign hanging on the doorknob of my room and banged on the door until I opened it. He said he needed to clean the balcony because construction had left a “mess” there. More conversation with the front desk, more apologies and I’ve supposedly had the last night of my stay comped. Although the emailed invoice I’m suppose to receive hasn’t arrived.
