Awesome little gem.
The staff is the nicest i think I have ever dealt with. They're right next to an elementary school where the kids can be pretty loud, might be annoying for a daytime nap. I think they're cute. About a block off a main road, so no street noise but still only about three blocks away from shopping, eating, etc area. Very walkable, plenty of Tuk Tuk if you want. Again.. .you'll never find nicer hosts.

Good /average stay.
Stay was good. But there was no lift/elevator , making it difficult to reach top floor. Room lights were very dim,no lights in balcony. I did have bad back ache after skeeping on the mattress. However, the front desk was very helpful, specially one yoing man named Navin was very cheerful and helpful. Also since the hotel is very near to the city center, it was very easy to find local toirs, transport, restaurants etc

Beautiful open air lobby with dark hardwood accents (stairs and upper floors), colorful decor. Rooms with modern bathrooms and good air conditioning. Very friendly and helpful staff, a one block walk from the night market and pub street. There is an elementary school next door so it can be a bit noisy during the day, but very quiet at night and super convenient. Tremendously good value. Highly recommended for anyone going to explore Angor.

Golden Butterfly had great air conditioning, nice room layout with lots of windows, nice balcony. Shower and bathroom very clean, great water pressure. Staff were very helpful getting you to temples and museums. School next door but pretty quiet at night. Could walk a few yards and get good food. Great value for money.

The property wasn’t fully operational as per the advertisement… no restaurant or proper maintenance and staff for tending to the rooms. Had booked a 5 night stay, and only received a clean room service after asking 4 times for cleaning… once in my 5 night stay. Ended trip early to relocate to kampot to visit a friend living there, or may have become worse. Also had no front room reception help when I was facing some banking and cell phone issues.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Southeast Asia! The staff were welcoming and incredibly helpful including calling a local bus service to help me sort out tickets I bought online. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable. Best hot shower I’ve had in awhile too! The welcome drink and snacks were a nice touch. It is next to a school which can be a bit noisy during the day, but we didn’t mind the sound of children singing :) Would definitely come again!

Perfect location
This is a great little hotel at the center of Siem Reap! It is right next to the downtown and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly and helpful (e.g. calling and confirming activities). The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is from a fixed menu, but there are several options and everything I tried was delicious. The complimentary massage was surprisingly good, and I would have done more if my schedule allowed it. Free snacks, water and airport pickup are also nice perks.

Customer service is top notch. Management is very polite and offered late checkout to accommodate my needs. If they can do it for you, they will try to. The shower curtain could use some changing and careful to not trip if they cleaned the floors. Other than that, highly recommend this place.

The cute open air lobby in this wonderful old building gave us a great first impression. The check-in, hospitality and orientation was very friendly and helpful. The noise from the neighbouring school yard was distracting at first, but hearing kids playing and laughing gave it a nice family feel. Free coffee, tea and bananas, available anytime, was a nice touch.

The right mix of personal, charming and modern
I spent just one night here, during a trip to see Angkor Reap. It's a small hotel, with a very personal feel. Excellent help - I arrived early in the day and they were happy to store my bag while I did some more sightseeing. In the moment or two it took me to check in, a fresh drink (some kind of mint tea), was made for me - a cool touch. Apparently, somebody else ran up to the room as I checked in and put fresh flower petals about - again, very nice. The hotel is a very easy walk from the market/night market, tons of restaurants lots of tourist shopping, and a number of Angkor Wat sites. If you haven't already found a car/tuk-tuk, it's easy to get one from here. Nice, traditional lobby. No elevator - rather a traditional darkly finished hardwood staircase. Likewise, the doors were solid wood with old style brass key locks - little stuff I enjoyed. There was wi-fi, which seemed okay. I only used it very briefly. I don't think the TV service offered much, but.. you're in Angkor Wat - hopefully you didn't have TV in mind. Shower had strong, very hot water. Enough electrical outlets - a surge strip was provided, at least in my room, which helped getting everything plugged in for the night. I slept like a stone and woke up refreshed the next morning.

Flooding in shower room after shower.
Hotel is locat d at convenient location near night market.Reception staffs are friendly and helpful. However, there is a problem about drainage problem in the shower room. There are some mosquitoes in the room that can be sprayed before guest check in. Please look int9 these improvement. It is a great hotel with reasonable price.

Descent hotel
Nice stay. The amazing thing is that this hotel is close to pub st etc. Room is good size with balcony. Service is good and staff are nice. Negatives: breakfast is very basic, you pick 1 option from menu and it is as basic as it gets. There is a school closeby so don't expect to get sleep during the day. At night, it is peaceful. Apart from that, descent hotel.

GREAT VALUE WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER
Fantastic boutique hotel with lots of character and charm and in a great but quiet location. The staff are welcoming and friendly and are ready to assist with any guest requests. The Golden Butterfly Villa represents excellent value and is highly recommended.
