"We had a wonderful 6 night stay. The staff are amazing and the food is incredible. The room was perfect size for a week or longer stay. Great couch and tv, with usb compatibility. If the bed and pillow were a little softer I would say it’s perfect. It was hard to leave."

"Old school, old fashioned (read: dated decor, manual check-outs, actual keys for your room), traditional spa resort. The mixed onsen is great, lots of space and different temperatures so you can easily find your perfect spot. Definitely go half board as the evening buffet is excellent. Highly recommended."

" Lovely stay at Deer Valley, staff were great, very friendly. Really liked that meals were served at your table - we had stayed at a few other places recently that were all buffet style. The food was very very nice, and the italian dinner focus was a nice change from several weeks of japanese food. Breakfast was a large american plate, which also included a tasty curry soup (love that about hokkaido). Onsen has a nice view of Asahidake, and it was good to have the option to also take an onsen and sauna at sister hotel Bear Monte. Deer Valley had a calm, relaxing ambiance, would definitely stay again."
