The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and there's a supermarket opposite the hotel which was convenient as the food options nearby we're limited. The only problem with the room is that the air conditioner is not that good so at night the room was warmer than I would like.

Great stay, bad plumbing.
Everything was great in the beginning, we were upgraded and really appreciated that. However on the second night, we went out to dinner and came back to a flooded bathroom that was leaking. It took a while for someone to come and figure things out, and we were told they could not fix it in short time so we had to pack our bags and go to a different room. That was quite annoying, but other than that, the hotel staff were nice and the hotel has got a good gym.

First world crimes
Super room, very well kept, but some serious crimes against 1st world travellers. The towels at the pool were acrylic and not only were the two loaves of breakfast bread stale, but they were back the next morning. Ditto, crisps in the Club Lounge were bendy - they must have come out and then been put back a lot of times. Is that what Marriott means? In China we've loved the Hyatts and the Shangri-la's we've stayed in this trip. The Suzhou Renaissance stands out as unacceptable. In places like China, you crave occasional western items like bread and crisps - so they must be right.

Highly recommended!
The staff and facility was better than expected. We especially love the servywe received. The staff really went out of their wat to help us with questions. The staff from the Chinese restaurant were also cery helpful and super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place again.

Great hotel with superb service.
We enjoyed the stay of 4 nights. Area is convenient and service is excellent. The food quality at buffet breakfast is average while varieties are impressive. We had 1 Saturday buffet dinner and found many foods with MSG or much MSG which made meal less enjoyable. The hotel is great in service.

Good location with superb service
Beautiful hotel with superb view. Buffet breakfast was one the of best I had in China and service was excellent. A cute robot goes round the hotel to bring Room service items. Overall one of the best hotels my family had been.

International hotel
Very modern and western style. Close to many shopes. Breakfast is nice. Hotel lobby even got a robot. It bring us a good laugh in the elvtor. Anyway, next time in Suzhou, will stay here again.

weekend family trip
Really nice clean and bright hotel. Near a beautiful central park, downtown so many shops and restaurants around the area. Even though the hotel is downtown it was peaceful and calm. I did not hear road noises in my room. Pool was nice, about 25m long, and 10m wide, with a warmer small pool adjacent.. Breakfast buffet was really good with a wide selection of foods and cuisines. I would definitely stay again with my family.

Very Pleased
The service here was impeccable. It was always offered with a smile and was very quick. Our room was a little warm as it was early March and the hotel's air conditioners had not yet been turned on. When I called about the warmth, the front desk quickly brought a large "ice fan" to our room. The pool is very nice and very clean. The breakfast had great western options for a Chinese hotel, and the room service was tasty. The wifi was very fast.

A room with a view and an unforgettable experience
First time for my wife n me - the 19th floor club room was great, spacious, and with a view overlooking the park far, far away! One more thing - the cleaning lady noticed me sneezing quite a bit when she did the housecleaning. Later she came back with a pot of ginger tea n extra napkins. I finished the tea and felt much better the next couple of days! The name on the note was Alice. The ladies at the club lounge were also great - very attentive and considerate to us and other guests! The bellboys introduced us to nearby local cuisines - great taste and very cheap! An unforgettable experience to us :) Harris

Perfect- highly recommend
We spent only 1 nigh and it was perfect. We were 4 into one room. Very spacious room. Two big beds. Very comfortable. Incredible bathroom. My wife love it..... We didn't take the breakfast so no comment. Wifi was slow as everywhere in China. staff were very nice. Sure on our next weekend in Suzhou, we'll book again this hotel.

It is not the first time I stayed at this hotel, very nice rooms and good location next to a park. We had a conference at the hotel this time. It was good. However, it was not the first time I had problems with the front desk. My other group members complained about the speed of checking out. I booked the room and prepaid, and when I checked out I was asked to pay again. It took quite some time before they found a solution, and asked me to sign on a credit card payment confirmation, but the card was not mine!! Training of staff, that is what needed for the hotel. I had similar trouble some years back. Not much progress, I feel.

Very relax, nice and quite in the room. The main lobby am too loud at nite when the live band performing! Way too loud. Besides, not everyone enjoy the same type of music.
