The hotel tariff is equivalent to 5 star rates. There was a power cut and almost half a day no electricity on a Saturday when we unwinding ourself in the hotel. Only Taiwanese buffet was served for breakfast and i cant find anything

Good location. You can't expect big room in city area, unless you willing pay high price. Room for improvement in cleanliness, noted mostly aged employees doing the job. Many eateries around the hotel compound, easy access to Taipei main station n Ximending.

Hotel staffs are very friendly. 10min walk to Ximending and Taipei Train station. Very good location. Wifi strength is good. Free breakfast is good. The hotel helped us to safe keep our luggages when we went for a night visit to Hualien even we were not staying at Hedo on our last 2 days in Taipei. Overall an excellent choice. I will definitely book this hotel again on the next trip to Taipei.

Convenient hotel which is of walking distance to taipei main station & ximending area. Though the room is not spacious, it was clean and good enough for a hotel room with the price paid. hotel also provided muslim friendly breakfast upon request:)

Getting worse
This is my 3rd stay. The hotel is being commercialized to make more profit as it also sells breakfast buffet to walk-in customers. The whole new team of staff do not show any hospitality as I was very impressed with the smiley face of the staff in 2016 and 2017. They were more helpful than the current one. When you asked for a favor like getting one more pillow, the current staff only show annoyance and not passion to help the customers. After my 2016 and 2017 stay, I thought I don't have to bother to find another hotel but this hotel tells me profit is more important than service. So disappointed. I will choose other hotels with the same price range like Hotel PapaWhale.

A reliable place to stay
As others have mentioned the soundproofing was not great, but otherwise the hotel and decor are very nice, new and comfortable. It could be cleaner though, I found a lot of hair on the floor, and some food in the drain of the sink. Overall I liked it and I'd stay again.

Good location but horrible sound proof walls
The location is key to this hotel. It's close to both Taipei main station and Ximen. Rooms were small but the drawback as other reviews have indicated is the sound proof. There isn't any sound proof whatsoever. I can hear the room on the left and right of us talk, when they turn on the water, when they shower, their TV, and whatever other sound they make. That's the most frustrating part of the stay. The breakfast was quite good. There were a good selection: porridge, noodles, hash brown, toast, cereal, miso soup, veggie, eggs, juice, and coffee (the best!). Overall, I have mixed feelings on whether I would rebook this hotel. The price and location is definitely good.

Nice with reasonable price
Staff are helpful and polite. Should have more turns of refill for breakfast as sometimes all food have been taken at 9:30 if there is a group. Anyway, it is quite a good experience.

Good price and good location.
Staff are nice. Breakfast is OK. Noise by showering from other rooms are annoying. We were woke up at 6:30 as others took shower. It seems like most of the hotels in Taipei have the same problem. It really depends on the travelers.

Came in ona late flight practically arrived the next day.i was so exhausted, all i really wanted was a good shower, wifi, and a comfy bed to sleep on. Upon arrival the lack of interaction and English always makes me weary because what if I need something and can't communicate you would think they would hire people that can speak some English. Upon getting into room it's really small but doesn't have a place to put luggage, except for on the floor . The fancy shower took me a while to figure out , trybtonrrad abd understand the image on the price of paper they give you. The wifi if your using IPAD or any Apple products is wonky after the plenty of back and forth trying to get them to understand my problem and resetting the wifi and them finally coming up to fix the problem need I say more , wasn't the best experience. The breakfast unless your just a coffee/ bread kinda person you will be ok. The scrambled eggs were sweet , I know gross.,the tater hash and Werner sausages were also cold. Orange juice in Taiwan is orange drink they serve Also rice and local fare which I'm. Kit a fan of. I personally wouldn't spend the 10-15 dollars for included breakfast in any hotel it's not worth it. Just go to mc Donald's or a bakery and you will be better off. Good thing with this hotel location is close to a mc Donald's and Taipei main station so getting out of city is a breeze.

Decent hotel if you want a bed with breakfast close to the Taipei Main Station. The breakfast was decent array of choices, although spaghetti was undercooked. Rooms look new. We booked a "deluxe" double room and I asked for a larger one to accommodate our suitcases since I read from reviews rooms could be small. We were given supposedly the larger room and it was still pretty small. Does not have windows. Small bathroom was not an issue but I did see couple hairs on the floor upon entering.

Very nice location
Very bad room assignment as my room just assigned in between two family rooms with kids. Kids were keep on opening and closing the door, yelling, running between their rooms. Poor sound proof....unable to have a nice rest in the late night and morning time. Hotel must know their sound proof is not good at all but have to know how to assign guest room in order to avoid guest bad experiences. Hardware in guest room is good and value for money. Just a little reminder to request away from family room if want to stay this hotel.

Hall ways look dirty and dated, room was pretty clean and modern if not a bit small. Our room had a big window filling up an entire wall, unfortunately the view was of a concrete wall of the building next door that's 6 inches away from our window. Bathroom was poorly designed, water from the shower kept leaking out the tub onto the floor. Breakfast was a bit bland, not many choices. It seems the hotel was packed with tourists from Vietnam, they had to get translators to help with some of those tourists. Lots of people pushing and cutting in line for breakfast and the elevator (very slow elevator). Not bad for the price. We stayed 3 nights. It's 5 minute walk to Taipei train station so it's very convenient.

Convenient and clean hotel
Staff: The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast: The breakfast spread is quite good. Room: The room is clean, neat and cozy. However, it can be a bit small without much space is you have a big luggage. The wifi within the hotel can be quite weak. Location: The hotel is within walking distance to the Taipei Main Station (MRT, HSR, TRA). However, it can be a long walk to the hotel if you go by the underground passageway and exit at Z10 (nearest exit to the hotel). To me, a shorter walk will be to exit at Z2 or Z4 (in front of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Dept Store) and walk at street level to the hotel. There are a few convenience stores (Family Mart, 7-Eleven), and eateries near to the hotel which is quite good.

Lack standard / minimal amenities like wardrobe, coffee table and chair - yes, there is none in the 4-person bedroom we stayed in. Hotel seems newly renovated though.

Great choice
Have stayed two nights. Clean rooms, modern, renovated, ...They are still renovating it at the time, so there was some distractions, but after they will finish it should be perfect. We were in room 606, and as some one before me said he had problems with lightning in the room, so did we, but after you put the room card out of the socket, you reset all the lights in the room and even after you put the room card back into the slot, light will no longer flicker. Could be bad, and this in the only reason I will not give it 5 out of 5. Other then that it is a great choice. Everything else, from breakfast to staff was just great.

Convenient, clean and value for money
Very comfortable stay overall. USB ports are available so you don't really need a travel adaptor. New, clean room. Great location (in between Ximen and Taipei station) with many restaurants nearby. It would be greater if there is curtain in shower room.

Polite and helpful staff. The cleaning lady on the fifth storey was particularly well-mannered and kind. Breakfast was simple, love the hot soya milk.

Not a good experience
I have stayed in Hedo hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is quite new but the hotel facilities are not that good. I needed to wait for an hour to have cold water for bath in the first night, which makes me crazy. Then the lighting in the room is very strange the lights will turn on and off automatically, which makes it very weird. I could not sleep in the two nights of stay and I will absolutely not book this hotel again.
