The main issue I had with the hotel was the AC not working because they explained the building had 2 different units and at the time the heat was on for the whole building so my room was practically cooking.

Located in a nice area near George Washington University, the hotel is near a good amount of dining options and the convenience of a nearby Whole Foods. If you’re visiting on a Wednesday do not miss the Foggy Bottom Market, a nice small farmers market. Its a short walk to the Kennedy Center, a hub for rich history and dedication to the arts like theater, opera, and concerts. The hotel staff was exceptional and attentive. However, the property itself shows signs of wear; the decor feels dated and some aspects, like the curtains, are noticeably unclean, signaling a need for an upgrade. Despite it the hotel provides a decent and affordable accommodation option in the area. Our stay was enjoyable, and we would consider returning in the future.

We were within 1 - 1 1/2 mile walking distance to the White House, capital and all other major attractions. the metro was right around the corner. great quiet neighborhood. Our room was spacious with 2 beds. We were able to open the windows a bit for some fresh air. air conditioner was not an option. the hotel itself was clean and tidy. staff were very nice and approachable. will stay again.

The staff at the ARC were helpful and friendly. We loved the convenience of the GW-Foggy Bottom metro nearby! The area was quiet and we slept well. The only thing I didn't like was that the lobby was heavily scented with some kind of floral scent spray or diffuser. However, that was only in the lobby and not in the rooms or breakfast area.

We thought it was in a great neighborhood. The location was safe which was a huge plus. There were lots of food options and close to the National mall. The property was nice. I wished we had a microwave in the room. The down side was the air/heater wasn’t working properly, we had three people staying in the room but housekeeping would only leave two towels. We had to call the front desk every time our room was cleaned to ask for more. One time we had to go down to the front desk because they were too busy to bring the extra towels to our room. We also had to ask for extra coffee pods every day. It would have been really nice if the front desk made a note to housekeeping to leave extra in our room. Other than those minor hiccups we really loved our stay there and would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed our stay at the ARC. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, nicely appointed rooms and lobby. Only a couple of negatives... parking was pricey at $50/night tax... and our 1st floor room was very noisy... lots of sound transfer from the hall, the entry (outside and below our window), sirens and planes flying overhead (even with windows closed). Bring your earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The hotel was great. Clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to help us in any way possible. The small shop was nice to visit when we needed coffee or sandwiches. I would highly recommend. Parking is very limited so beware.

The hotel was relatively close to the Lincoln memorial and George Washington University. Street was relatively loud, we could hear people on the street multiple times. We were also charged almost DOUBLE the price that Expedia said it was going to be! Plus $50 a day for Valet parking!

I enjoyed my stay and the hotel was very comfortable. The only thing I didn’t care for was that parking was limited. The hotel did provide alternative parking locations in close proximity.

The room smelled of air freshener and body odor. Could use a new mattress and pillows, which also smelled. No towel bars/hooks to hang towels. We felt like we were sleeping outside from the constant noise of cars passing by, a couple police cars and an ambulance, the neighbors on both sides, and in the hallway. Checked out a day early just so we can sleep and breathe clean air.

Location was fantastic, nearby Foggy Bottom Metro and Georgetown. It was very noisy though, given its proximity to GWU hospital and our neighboring guests who were loud—late and often! Hotel staff were competent and kind, especially door man. Coffee in room and snacks for sale in the lobby. Wish there was continental breakfast included. Overall 4.3/5!

I call multiple times regarding my security deposit did not get proper assistance. One month after checking out still haven't received security deposit ( looks like scam ), I had to file a claim at my bank. Also, We had to open the window as the room was too hot and reception said they don't have a cooler option. Can't connect your TV to YouTube even if they have it on paper.

The hotel is very outdated. We had a sofa covered with a white sheet because the leather was broken. Most doors and furniture had something broken. The lady at the reception never gave us the 15 dollar credits from Expedia.

...the TV didn't work, and the A/C only put out heat. There is no restaurant, as published, but it's very convenient. If you don't care about not having what you normally get at other hotels it's fine.

There was no internet all weekend!! Our toilet broke at the worst time, once the engineers were gone for the day & we were on our way out. The communication about parking was all over the place. Quoted me one price & quoted my cousins a whole other price.

My wife and I stayed at the ARC Hotel for our anniversary for 3 nights. The check in was great and the staff were super friendly. We booked a king size room with a view on the top floor. Our view faced Georgetown and it was nice. The room and service was great. The only issue while we were there is they had an issue with the wifi but it was not a big deal. The hotel was about a 10-15 minute walk to Georgetown and also really close to other attractions. Highly recommend.
