Yellowstone Trip
The cabin was 5 miles up the mountain from Gardiner, MT. It was a 2 bedroom with full kitchen & even a washer/dryer. View from cabin was beautiful. Gardiner was a nice little town & only a mile from North Entrance of Yellowstone.

Cozy cabin
Cabin was as advertised, clean and cozy. Lovely views and close to Yellowstone entrance. A bit remote-5 miles up dirt road from town but got used to it quickly. If you stay here make sure to stop by owner’s office first or you may have trouble finding it.

Top notch on top a mountain
Owner met us when we arrived. An employee escorted us to our cabin by using a lead vehicle to drive up the mountain roads. He even unloaded our car for us and gave us a tour of the cabin. The owner took a personal interest in us. He was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The view was beautiful. Our cabin was in a mountain community with an abandoned gold mine. Although we couldn't go near the mine, we researched it on the web. It was very cool. There were also hiking trails near the cabin that were park of the state's hiking system. As for the cabin, it had air conditioning and heat (we used both), kitchen with small refridgerator and range, free wifi and satelite T.V. and a washer and dryer. It was very quiet and relaxing.

After check in at the office they take ya to your place. They have no other cares. Will ask of they can help woth anything else. Wifi didnt work at all durin my few days there. Which they knew about before departing from showin me to the place. I find out my last night i should of been given the option to be in a different cabin where the wifi did work. The boy who took me to my cabin said he didnt want any of the feedback he just takes people to their cabins nothing else. The webpapge for the cabins wasent very up-to-date with everything offered either. Im only sayin they could get more business if everyone was on the same page and did actually care about the customer rather than money. I would never stay in any of their cabins in the winter. Only had 2 really small eletric heaters. Those 2 barely did the job warmin it up on nights it was down to 34!

Not what we signed up for
we were supposed to have a cabin 6 miles out of Gardiner but were given a "condo" in Gardener that was as nice as a Quality Inn or Comfort IN at $90-125 but were charged over $300 a night for the cabin and they only said "no refunds" We did not expect a refund but think some sort of reduction would have been appropriate . The "condo was really a motel room and had very few amenities...kitchen was not supplied well and we got one towel each for 3 days and nobody ever came to clean the room or check if we needed anything and when we went to "office" there was nobody there and the only employee we dealt with spoke little English and could not help us with trying to get the heat on and it took 3 hours before someone showed up....not a good experience

More cons than pros
First, do not stay in these cabins if you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. There is a significant climb to get up to the cabins. ON the plus side the view is wonderful. While the cabin was clean, we were constantly killing moths. We had four people in a two bedroom cabin and there was a table with only two chairs. While the furnishings in the cabin are very modern, there was no living space at all. Also, in the directory they provided it said that we would get daily maid service. WE stayed there three nights and no maid service. Not a major thing. Also, we were told there would be a gas grill. There was no grill and every time we used the small stove the smoke alarm would go off. IF you ever wanted to do a trial run of Tiny House Big Living, this is the place for you.

Yellowstone Mountain Stay
We were excited to see Yellowstone and stay in the mountains at night to view the stars. If you are looking for an out of the way place to stay then the Yellowstone mountain cabins are for you. We did find that the drive to the cabins was a bit far so be prepared for a winding twisting five mile journey from Gardiner. This wouldn't have been a problem but the very narrow drive up the steep incline to reach the cabins was. If you are planning on using the cabins be sure to rent or bring a high profile vehicle like a Jeep, Truck or SUV. Only one car at a time to the top and not much parking so plan on only one vehicle too if you bring friends. The cabin was very nice. My husband and I had plenty of room. We enjoyed the view and the stars at night. We never saw a single wild animal at the cabin or on our way up to the cabin. Wished we did. Enjoyed that there was a washer and dryer just remember before you head to the top stock up on groceries and what ever you may need to wash dishes or cloths. We also had the pleasure of spending a couple of days in the Yellowstone Condos & Suites. We very much enjoyed these as they were in town and right outside the North Entrance to the Park. If you don't like up hill driving to a steep drive up in the hills the Condos are a better choice for you.

Secluded cabin on a mountainside.
Cute cabin just a few miles out of Gardiner in the town of Jardine. Very well appointed with plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The cabin even had toiletries and a hair dryer which was a nice touch. The cabin owner was very accommodating and gave us his cell number in case we had any problems. Lovely views of the town of Jardine and the hills. On a clear night you could see stars for days. Gardiner is a cute town just North of the entrance to Yellowstone with restaurants and adventure businesses like River Rafting, Zip Lining and Horse Riding. All the locals were super nice and friendly. There's a local grocery store where you can buy everything you need for your stay. The cabin would be better if there were a grill. The owner told us there wasn't one because of fire hazards but the cabins on either side that he also owns had propane gas grills so I'm not sure what that was about.

Peaceful cabins
The cabin we were in was older and rustic which added the charm to the cabin. It was in the Mountains about a 5 to 10 minute drive from town. It had very nice views and pretty sun rises. The staff came every other day to grab your trash, but if you needed anything you could call and they would take care of you. Really nice guy. Make sure you have everything you need. This is not like a hotel. They don't have turned down service or amenities like a Hotel. Which is what we were looking for. No one to disturb you just peace and quiet. The entry in to Yellowstone on this end is very busy. If you do not want to wait a long time in line. I would suggest getting into the park by 7am.

Nice alternative to a standard hotel room
It was a very cute cabin with great views. We could even see Yellowstone from our deck. It was farther outside of town than We initially realized but it didn't prove to be a problem. This was our first visit to Yellowstone and we loved staying by North entrance to the park after having initially entered through the crowded west entrance.

Never again.
When I looked at the pictures for this cabin, I believed that all cabins would be as nicely appointed. Not so. If you rent the 3 bedroom, you get the hot tube, lovely kitchen, living room, multi tiered deck. If you rent the 2 bedroom, you get a hovel. Two bedrooms, no dressers, kitchen with table for 2 not 4, bathroom with hot water tank over vanity sink...watch your head standing up. No living room or even a place for all of us to sit. Four plates in the cabinet, dorm refrigerator also included. Grill had fuel but not a tool to cook with after we cleaned it for what was probably the first time. I have read other reviews and read the same complaints from others so nothing will change. Spend your money someplace else.

Not as advertised
The cabin was not as advertised. It was advertised to have a washer and dryer but it did not. A washer and dryer in the cabin was one reason I chose the cabin. There were also many code violations with the cabin, i.e. there were wires exposed in the bathroom behind the shower wall and in the kitchen area and no face plate on the outlet in the bathroom that was 9 inches from the toilet and it was an improper outlet for its location. I would not recommend this cabin especially if you have children. It is difficult to get ahold of staff. Also once the trash can is full there is no where to put it due to no bear proof container outside.

bait and switch
Cabin offered on site and pictures are NOT what you get. The "cabin" was actually two sheds attached with exposed wires, no sink in the bathroom, boarded up windows, and holes in the floor. Truly a terrible experience, one I hope other families don't experience as it's not easy to find last minute acccomodations in Yellowstone during the summer.

Remote, quiet cabin with great views
There are not a lot of luxurious accommodations when your intent is to be within nature. This cabin is very basic but checks all the boxes. Remote, quiet, basic needs. Consider bringing your own pillows if you want something more than a pancake to lay your head on, bed is comfy. They don't clean or restock but every 3 days. Kids used fold out couch and it didn't meet their needs as the mattress is way too thin. wouldn't recommend the fold out for more than one night. Loved the town and access to all of the activities. The driveway can be a challenge.

Our Little Mountain Cabin
Wen were so pleasantly surprised with our little mountain cabin. The view was amazing from the deck. Albeit we didn't see any wildlife except for a small herd of elk on our way out, we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did have to do a little rearranging of the furniture so we could watch tv in the living room comfortably but that was no trouble at all. I loved that it has a washed and dryer as I did end up doing a small load of laundry. One thing we would suggest is it would be wonderful if there were some sort of barbecue grill. With that lovely deck area and that beautiful it would have been wondrful to have been able to grill out. I would DEFINITELY recommend a stay at Yellowstone Mountain Cabins.

Beautiful drive, quiet retreat from the busy park!
This was a great place to stay! Staff was nice and responsive, the area was serene and our family was able to make it "home" for the time we were there. I would caution people with low riding vehicles to use caution when booking. Our car made it up the drive every time but the road ended up knocking off our undercarriage.

Secluded cabin in the Mountains
Amazing view, very secluded. The cabin is about 5 miles into the Gallatin National Forest from Gardiner, MT. We came across wild animals every night on our way back up to the cabin - elk, bison, and deer. We loved that it has a kitchen and a fridge. This helped us save money on food while we visited Yellowstone National Park. This is not like a hotel, they only change out the trash, but the owner was very friendly and provided us with everything that we needed - laundry detergent, batteries for the remote controls, etc. Great cabin and location if you are looking for secluded getaway.

cabin stay
We were given a cabin by Burton, the owner of Victorian Inn, in Gartiner, Mt.. Per our reservation, we were to be given an 800 sq ft cabin with living room, dining room, kitchen with a dishwasher, pillowtop bed with Egyptian sheets, a desk and deepsoaking tub in the bathroom. We received a cabin that was half that size, no living, no dining room, no dishwasher, no pillowtop bed with Egyptian sheets, no desk and no tub of any kind in the bathroom. The next day, we went back to the Victorian Inn and asked for Burton. He was not there or able to be contacted. We asked for the cabin we were suppose to have and one was not available. The office person contacted the manager and they offered a discount of $75.00 credit card credit toward our 2 day stay. We were celebrating our anniversary and were very disappointed in the small cabin they gave. We felt we should have been given our NICE reserved cabin in the first place and not just a small credit. This is the first time we have used Hotel.com for lodging and were not impressed.

Very small clean, neat cabin. No living room as advertised. Only fits 2 people comfortably. At the end of a steep dirt road. Terrible kitchen where smoke alarm went off each time we cooked. Ill equipped rooms, no dressers, no hooks. Pleasant owner who said he will improve the cabin. He gave us a free dinner after we complained.

Amazing mountain retreat just north of Yellowstone
Not an hotel but an amazing cabin way out in the mountains, with beautiful views and no light pollution. Burton, the builder/owner is justifiably proud of what he has achieved. I wouldn't like to drive up to Jardine in the dark and if you are looking for a traditional hotel with hotel service it is not for you (service mark reflects this and is no way a criticism). But as a self-catering get-away I can only say that it would be difficult to beat. Superb!

Very nice - definitely out of the way. The driveway was a little nerve-wracking. Wifi was slow and spotty. Need a few more cooking items - baking pan, more dishtowels- but overall a great stay. Difficult to view tv in main room given the heavy sleeper sofa directly under the tv. An additional comfortable chair would be helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Water running very small in kitchen, told officer, but no fix. Space is smaller than hotel in Manhattan, design is not suitable, hit everyone's head. The Good and the Bad!
The photos are misleading as our cabin looked nothing like those on the website. There must be a few different cabins with differing amenities, furnishings, and layouts. Ours had a nice washer and dryer. Curtains on the bedroom window were transparent, and no cover on the bathroom window. Our "sofa" in the living room was probably a futon bed and non-functional for sitting. We slept in the bedroom with the quiet bed and the working TV, but the bed was not all that comfortable. No closet, but a rolling rack for hanging clothes in the hallway. Our cabin was in a remote location about 15 to 20 minutes up a dirt road. Some privately owned cabins were well maintained, but others looked very run down. After arrival, we discovered that we had no washcloths, only one hand towel, and only two small bars of soap. All to last us for three days because maid service is only every three days. We couldn't call the front desk to have those items delivered because our cell phones didn't work and there was no phone in our cabin. In fairness, however, we stopped by the office in town the next day and washcloths, hand towels, and more soap were promptly delivered. One reviewer was not happy with the heat, however our cabin had a good heater in the hallway which warmed all the rooms. TVs in each bedroom, but could only get one to work, and none in the living room. Artwork was "interesting". We had four cloth pennants covered in plastic which were all the same - a moose.

Our cabin was fine but a strange set up. Terrible road to get there. No place to sit to watch tv unless you take chairs into bedroom or sit on bed on other room. Can not sit outside late in the day or at night. We had a fox on the porch and you are advised not to go out at night because of bears. Too bad because the night sky was beautiful.

The cabin was Ok with good views and nice amenities But one of the bed was too wobbly. A bed sheet is not blanket and it gets cold at night in the area they should know it. One of the bed was wobbly and metallic. Window curtains were terrible. Worst of all was Heating. The heater was so pathetic that it couldn't even heat 1ft area around it.

NOT close to Yellowstone
The cabin is 8 miles outside of Gardiner, look for Jardin on the map. The 8 miles is on a dirt road that takes 20 minutes to drive. At registration you have to wait around to follow a guide to the cabin. It is NOT by a river and there is definitely no view. Kitchen barely has cooking pans, no baking pizza on a cookie sheet. Bed is in the living room, no couch for sitting. Fold out bed is a pad on the floor and does not come with bedding. No washer or dryer either. 1 there is a $50 fee if you are late. 2 you check in one location and have to wait for the hotel staff to come and escort you to the cabin, which in our case took 20 minutes. 3 the road to the cabin is a really bad dirt road and extremely dangerous specially at night, you need a good SUV. 4 The location of the cabin is in a abandoned town and opposite to a mine do your family a favor if you want to stay in a cabin choose a better location.

Fantastic stay and kids loved it Well equipped with good outdoor gas bar b q Would be good to have had instructions for dishwasher as you had to connect it to the kitchen tap to work it Lovely quiet spot and easy drive up to it ( about 20 mins from Gardiner) with beautiful scenery. Definitely nicer than staying in the cabins in Yellowstone park which are very modern and next to busy roads, shops etc
