The first guests checked in that day, the very first to experience a stay in\u00a0the\u00a0delightfully contemporary hotel by uber-creative esteemed designer, Philippe Starck. That means curious, colourful, luxurious elements at every turn.<\/p>\n

Situated along Beach Road opposite the iconic Raffles Hotel, from the looks of it The South Beach too promises to be quite the\u00a0standout hotel.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0On the inside it’s full of imaginative social spaces, fitted with eye-catching decor, has luxurious rooms and fancy amenities.<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0On the outside, the building’s architecture curves in a most curious way, with several leafy ribbons of green at different levels.<\/p>\n

My favourite thing about the South Beach hotel rooms is\u00a0probably that they have day beds, separate from your sleep-time bed. Great for sitting up with a book (and snacking without leaving crumbs all over the bed).<\/p>\n

There are also lots of little touches too that make you chuckle, like a cute postcard, the coolest bath mats I have ever seen, witty prints on water bottles and stationery…\u00a0It’s hard to miss all the great designer touches in this hotel.<\/p>\n
