And the hotels I stayed in each of these places all come recommended. Here&#8217;s why \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><u>Where to Stay in Tainan: JJ S Hotel<\/u><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7992\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/best-tainan-hotel-blog.jpg\" alt=\"best-tainan-hotel-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My favourite feature in the room would definitely have to be the window because I love natural light, it&#8217;s the best kind of light for photography. Also, it&#8217;s a great way to wake up hahaha. Just put up the blinds and bam, greenery!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/best-tainan-hotel-blog-3.jpg\" alt=\"best-tainan-hotel-blog\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Breakfast was also sent up to the room every morning. Breakfast in bed anyone?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7990\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/best-tainan-hotel-blog-2.jpg\" alt=\"best-tainan-hotel-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Natural light. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7989\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/best-tainan-hotel-blog-4.jpg\" alt=\"best-tainan-hotel-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">And they have these gorgeous vintage-inspired bicycles for rent!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>But the biggest plus about JJ S is that it&#8217;s a hotel with the female traveller in mind. So, if you&#8217;re a solo female traveller, or travelling with another female friend, JJ S Hotel will definitely give you a peace of mind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.shanicekoh.com\/2015\/07\/expediatravelista-x-taiwan-jj-s-hotel.html\">Read my full review here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><u>Where to Stay in\u00a0<\/u><u><\/u><u>Kaohsiung: Starhaus Hotel<\/u><\/h2>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7998\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog.jpg\" alt=\"kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was definitely the swankiest and most luxurious hotel the entire trip. We were absolutely spoilt and pampered silly. Why?<\/p>\n<p>First, check out the room! Aside from the spacious and super comfy bed, the bathroom definitely took the limelight haha.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7993\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog-2.jpg\" alt=\"kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7994\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog-3.jpg\" alt=\"kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Japanese-style toilet bowl YES YES.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7995\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog-4.jpg\" alt=\"kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7996\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog-5.jpg\" alt=\"kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This bathtub was custom made for the hotel and it features a heated back rest!<\/p>\n<p>But to be honest, the biggest highlight for me was the 24hr snack bar in the restaurant. Heh heh heh. As a glutton, and someone who gets hungry every few hours, IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED. There&#8217;s so much to choose from at the bar. From juices to tea and coffee to yoghurt to pastries to fruits to chips and snacks and so much more!!!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7997\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog-6.jpg\" alt=\"kaohsiung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>MAJOR LOVE FOR THIS ONE.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travelblog.expedia.com.sg\/asia\/tainan-and-kaohsiung-taiwan\/\">More on Starhaus here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><u>Where to Stay in\u00a0<\/u><u>Taichung: Evergreen Laurel Hotel<\/u><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8005\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/taichung-hotel-taiwan-blog-3.jpg\" alt=\"taichung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The really spacious suite and its adorable safari theme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8004\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/taichung-hotel-taiwan-blog.jpg\" alt=\"taichung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Double sinks!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8003\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/taichung-hotel-taiwan-blog-2.jpg\" alt=\"taichung-hotel-taiwan-blog\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And my favourite, a fruit bowl!<\/p>\n<p>But what I really love about Evergreen is its amazing buffet breakfast spread. There&#8217;s so much variety, you really don&#8217;t know where to start. And from here, you can access most of the attractions in the city as quickly as 5 mins or 20 mins at most! On average, it&#8217;s about 10 mins away.
