This might be the last chance to ZoukOut \u2013 here\u2019s everything you need to know before heading over to the all-night dance music party at Sentosa\u2019s Siloso Beach happening on the 12<sup>th<\/sup> and 13<sup>th<\/sup> of December.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Partying is better on the beach<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After all, ain&#8217;t no party like an S-Club party! S = Sentosa. Club = Zouk&#8230; What? No? Bad reference? OK fine let&#8217;s reset. What I meant to say is&#8230;Who can argue with partying all night on the beach with beautiful people from all over the world, to a backdrop of live DJ sets, before catching the sunrise? <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zoukout.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">ZoukOut<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is a dance music extravaganza in Singapore that does just that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Started in 2000 by Singapore night club Zouk, this is a must-go 2-day dance music festival that happens annually.\u00a0Zouk Out is famed for its stellar line-up of DJs, beach backdrop and fun party people. It\u2019s also been dubbed the \u201cBest Leisure Event Experience\u201d twice by the Singapore Tourism Board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/zoukout-dj-alesso-singapore.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2293\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/zoukout-dj-alesso-singapore.jpg\" alt=\"zoukout-dj-alesso-singapore\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The party has been going strong, from dusk till dawn, for 14 years. Last year, ZoukOut saw its largest turnout of 41,000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>This year though, things are a little different.<\/strong> After 23 years of thrilling local crowds and making its mark on\u00a0the international club circuit, Zouk may be shutting down for good. The future of the iconic club is uncertain as they sort out issues surrounding their lease on Jiak Kim Street,\u00a0which officially expires at year end.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Will this be the last ZoukOut?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No one knows. Trust that partygoers are going to bring their A-game and light up Sentosa in full support at this year&#8217;s ZoukOut.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Zoukout 2014: \u201cFirst Light\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme is \u201cFirst Light\u201d. You can expect a journey to the first light of dawn through big name DJs who play across vast genres. House, Techno, Trance, Electro, Alternative\/Indie-Electronic, Hip-Hop and Mambo.<\/p>\n<p>DJs who have graced the ZoukOut turntables in previous years include absolute legends in the dance music scene &#8212;\u00a0\u00a0David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Ti\u00ebsto, Carl Cox and more. It&#8217;s probably more fun to just dance in the rain though!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2243\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/zoukout-music-festival.jpg\" alt=\"Zoukout party \" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What to\u00a0Wear\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Beach-appropriate. Tank tops, bikini tops, flip flops and shorts are standard attire. If you&#8217;ve got some flashy\u00a0bikinis or\u00a0designer board shorts, now is definitely the time to wear it. You can come as casual as you want, but there are going to be some good-looking people looking fine out there, so pick your best skimpy! You don&#8217;t want to be caught in your ah pek swimming trunks.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming is not allowed \u2013 bikinis are strictly for partying in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leave at Home\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Food and Drinks (you can\u2019t bring them in anyway \u2013 you can buy alcohol on the beach), laser pointers, bulky bags, beach towels (you\u2019re there to party, not to get a tan), video cameras (videography is prohibited) \u2013 and strictly no pets!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>A small sling bag that will keep water and sand out. It&#8217;s hard to go without a smartphone these days, so\u00a0a little bag that doesn&#8217;t leave your side is the best way to avoid losing your phone. A portable charger and paper fan would also come in handy.<\/p>\n<p>I wouldn&#8217;t wear my favourite flip flops.\u00a0Footwear tends to disappear\u00a0when you&#8217;re lost in the music dancing barefoot in the sand. (Mostly due to drunken memory loss<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Plan your Night<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Eat up<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Have a substantial dinner, so you don\u2019t give out halfway from hunger pangs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pack light \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong> Bring only the essentials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pace yourself \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The DJ sets are spread over the night, so you can plan your alcohol intake and save some energy for the big acts that come on later in the night.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay the Night<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0The best way to enjoy\u00a0Zoukout is to book a stay at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.sg\/Sentosa-Island-Singapore-Hotels.0-n6047875-0.Travel-Guide-Filter-Hotels\">hotel on Sentosa<\/a>\u00a0with your party crew. Why? The biggest hassle of Zoukout is getting a cab out of Sentosa when you&#8217;re done partying, whether you leave at 2 am or 8am. Having a hotel room will seriously\u00a0bump up the convenience factor so you can party harder! You can party till late, re-fuel with a hotel breakfast buffet, snooze to recharge (squeeze in a massage if you feel like it), and get yourself pumped up for another night of revelry on the beach.<\/p>\n<p>But mostly\u00a0I&#8217;d highly recommend a room to avoid the taxi headache.
